Great hotel with a real identity, each room have a different theme, really nice. Recommend the "La boheme" room, amazing suite and really reasonable for what you're getting! We will defenitely be going back.
Thanks to the staff who were really nice and helpfull. Extra special thanks to the manager Idriss, who used his relations in Castres to organise: booking in good restaurants, outdoor activities... See you soon!

This is a hotel with a difference, each room decorated with a theme, we had the japanese room which the owner did say was the smallest room but it was still ample and lovley decor throughout. The sitting room and dining area were so tasteful and full of character. The owner Msr Belard was very welcoming and helpful, he recommended we eat at L`Esquirol restauraunt which was excellent. He even gave my husband a fleur de chocolat for his birthday a very nice touch. The valet parking for 12 euros is well worth the money as it is very busy and lots of one way streets, Msr Belard takes your car, parks it and then takes it back when you need it. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. A definate must as the hotel and the town of Castres are a true gem.

My husband and I have now stayed at the Hotel Renaissance twice and each time we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves mostly as a result of a great host and hostess and their staff. The rooms are charming and original. For anyone travelling to Castries I would highly recommend the hotel as their place to stay.

Room Tip: Each room is individually decorated with great taste.

Stayed here for a rugby trip. The hotel is central but there was no noise from the street. The entrance hall was very pretty and welcoming. Many of the rooms seem to be African themed and ours was quite small, as were the rooms our friends occupied. Comfy bed with flat screen TV, very limited hanging and storage space, but adequate for the 3 nights we spent there. The bathroom was clean and functional, no shower curtain / screen which meant the water sprayed everywhere, but this wasn't an issue for us.
The breakfast was wonderful, unlimited coffee and good continental choice. The staff were very accomodating and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.
We were recommended some great restaurants and they made bookings at our request. The hotel is full of antiques and very quirky. We'd recommend to friends and stay again.

Have had to visit Castres twice this year and stayed in the Hotel D'Europe first time which was wonderful but this one is even better! The New York room we stayed in was excellent with good facilities and the breakfast was superb.

Our group of travelling rugby supporters first visited this fabulous hotel in January 2011. We had such a super time that, when we were drawn to play Castres again in December 2011 there was no question that we would return to Hotel Renaissance. The hotel was just as warm, comfortable and beautiful as we remembered but what really made our stay truly memorable was the welcome extended to us by Michel & his family and staff.
We didn't think it could get any better - but it had!

Room Tip: We had Suite Napoleon III, but any of the Junior Suites are fabulous & at 115 Euros a night - gr...
