This church is lovely and peaceful. The cloisters are also lovely. Although obviously not as imposing as the Cathedral Ste Cecile, for me it would be more conducive for praying, as, apart from a service times, there appear to be very few visitors. The church is is well worth the visit.

We bumped into this place when wandering around in Albi old city. We love this corner: the cloître is indeed very impressive and the gardens are very pleasant to stay around. Wonderful playou if you want to find a place for lunch picnic. Never miss it.

There's only a part of it left, but it's secret and hidden and a pure joy to visit. A tiny corner of medieval quiet behind the oldest church in Albi (10C beginnings), and a perfect spot to eat a sandwich and listen to the doves.

Albi can be quite busy as is normal for a tourist town but this haven directly opposite the Cathedral is rarely busy. In fact, it exudes peace and relaxation yet is a few seconds away from cafes and shops. It has a very Roman feel about it but dates from the Middle Ages. You really feel that you are in a genuine bit of Tarnaise history.

My wife and I are always thrilled to find these quiet spots away from the hordes of camera-toting tourists. Not sure why but this spot remains a contemplative location with minimal amount of visitors. We love the solitude and the great colors found in the garden.
