We ate here late on a Wednesday night in May. The restaurant has an extensive menu with cheese as a preferred ingredient. Nice location in the old town on the popular Place St Louis. Decor is charmingly old fashioned French and eclectic. The food was very good and the proportions were gigantic. We could not come close to finishing our grandes salads with cheese, sausage, potatoes, etc. Seems very popular with locals. Bargain prices. Our 2 large salads plates with wine and beer came to 37€. Come with an appetite!

We've eaten here twice - love the shabby chic decor. The Potences - a medieval ball with spikes hanging from a stand, covered in chucks of rump steak and flamed with brandy, dripping onto potatoes - is a must. Cheese dishes are rich but good to sample local raclette, fondue meals.

Traditionnal cheese food. Simplicity... Just good.

After two weeks in France we were looking for something other than the traditional, and slightly boring, stuff. This restaurant is wonderfully placed on the square, has a great decor and atmosphere, but best of all is the comprehensive menu card. You can eat here several times and still find new, exciting dishes. They specialize in dishes with cheese, but if you are not a cheese lover, don't let this scare you. The wine list is good with really cheap wines offered at an excellent quality. Our best dining experience in a long time. Highly recommendable.
