“Good stopover”
Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

Pleasant motel style. I did ask for an accessible room and got ground floor. Bed was comfortable, shower and bath adequate. Breakfast was a limited buffet. Good for a stopover but not really for more than a night or two. I had a trailer and struggled to find parking

We spent a week in Metz in september 2013. Stayed at campanile Technopole..great place, very clean and nicely located by the motorway...very quiet at night too ..it is located just a few minutes from the city center.we didn't not take the breakfast option because we thought it was too expensive ..But everything else was great. Will definitely recommend this hotel.. one thing to remember , there is no clerk for check in after 11 pm, it's all automated..not a big deal though ..

Stopped here after day at disney then on route to Germany.

Receptionist nice and helpful.
Restaurants nearby and open late enough in case you have late check in

Was perfect for us. Clean, crisp and fresh. Easy to find, car parking and free wifi! All boxes ticked!!

I was impressed from the moment we walked into this hotel. The receptionist was extremely friendly, and when the phone rang she put it to one side to give us her complete attention. When we questioned items on the menu they made every effort to give us further information. We stayed 2 nights, but wished we had stayed longer. The setting of the hotel was great, compared to the usual industrial estates!
Metz itself is a really interesting town. We will definitely make the effort to go again.

Room Tip: Best advice I can give is to book in advance - you get about 20% off the cost of the room. Only draw...

We spent a night here en route north. It was a very good choice. We got an excellent room rate (€40).
The room had recently been upgraded and was small, but very clean, with fresh modern decor; comfortable beds and pillows; good blackout shutters. Bathroom has everything you need - even a bath as well as a shower. Free wifi!
Hotel is well-signposted from the main road and with easy access to the motorway network.
The reception and restaurant areas seem to have been recently refitted, with clean modern decor.
The buffet breakfast had a good selection of breads / pastries / juices / yoghurts etc., but the price - nearly €10 per person - was a bit high.
For evening meals, the restaurant is not cordon bleu but provides a small selection of fairly simple main courses and is reasonably priced.
Would definitely go back again.

Good location not far off the A4 on the Strasbourg side of Metz easy to find and easy to get back onto the road next day.

Room rate seemed a little high for an "Old Style" Campanile, in the Motel style.Arrived 21.45 ish and was checked in right away. They had already charged the night rate to my card, assume they do this as soon as the guarantee time kicks in. Not a problem for me, but would be an irritation if you needed to pay cash or with a different card.

Room was 1 floor up in a side block from the reception/restaurant, typical Old Campanile layout, Strange smell in room. Smelt of old cigarettes, but could have been an air spray?? Outside spiral stairs to the landing could be a bit "iffy" if you have big boots like me, but taken with care isn't a problem..

Breakfast and the sound of the ducks on the pond was a delight and the staff were really pleasant.

Car park is open and can be accessed by anyone. You may read other reviews about being in "An area of high rise flats" well it is but the implication, well that's just snobbery on their behalf. Normal rules apply, use your common sense and take valuables out of the vehicle overnight, make sure your alarm is working and lock it.

There's a Buffalo Grill within walking distance and some other fast food places as well. I would normally just have eaten in the Hotel Restaurant, but didn't need to as we'd eaten on the way.

Could use a refit, but would stay anytime.
