“Clean, comfortable, convenient, car parking”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

We stayed in Sep 2013, just one night. Great location in the centre of Metz, couple of minutes' walk from the cathedral, and more or less in the old town. Room was clean and a decent size with a good shower, beds comfortable. Not ultra luxurious but certainly comfortable. Car parking was right underneath the hotel, clean and well lit. The only irritation, specifically for those travelling by car, was that the lift from the car park terminates at reception and you have to get an adjacent lift to go to your room - and both lifts are incredibly slow. So don't leave your toothbrush in your car.

The hotel is right in the centre, very easy to walk to the old city and shopping area.
Unfortunately is situated in an 80's depressing looking shopping mall. The hotel itself looks dated and needs some renovations. The photos from the website look better than the reality.
The room was clean, the staff was helpful and the breakfast was good.
I liked the green lights showing where the empty bays in the underground city car park were.

Hotel is in the centre of Metz, which is a plus but also big minus. Homeless people in front of hotel doesn't give you a nice feeling. The most restaurants are on walking distance but several restaurants which had good trip advisor ratings were closed down.
Stayed in this hotel one night and the hotel lobby looks ok, the rest of the hotel and its accommodation is very basic and in desperate need of major overhaul.
Not my favourite place and not cheap either

I have visited the Novotel Metz Centre in April this year and found everything fine as expected. This was not the first time but my third stay in this hotel. It was very relaxing and upto the mark. The breakfast specially is very apealing.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the shopping mall, as well as the swimming pool are equally fine.

Stayed for one night with a few friends and had a great time. Hotel was clean and friendly staff. Just a few steps from tons of great bars/restaurants and nightlife. Nothing amazing about the hotel, but no obvious flaws either. Not sure if it would be the best location for a family outing based on some of the noise in the courtyard and businesses that the hotel faces from the rear, but it didn't bother us all that much.

Not at all struck by the location of the hotel. We arrived in the evening and there were a lot of people hanging around drinking & smoking weed outside ( in the square) the hotel which worried my children & did make us think 'where have we come to'. Once inside, the hotel reception was nice and spacious and the staff were friendly. My little daughter was given a gift on arrival. The hotel room itself was adequate but throughout our travels in Europe this summer this was by far the 'worst' of the noivotels that we stayed in. The rooms are tired and not as clean as they should be. I don't want to see other peoples hairs! I don't think Alex Polizzi would have been impressed. On the positive side Metz is beautiful and we had a lovely meal in the centre of town & the next day there was a bustling street market.

My wife, 15yr old daughter and myself stayed here for 1 night to break up our drive to Italy from Portsmouth. The hotel was a very pleasant suprise, room very clean, staff were efficient, breakfast was exactly what we wanted and we couldn't fault this hotel. The city is well worth a walk around and this is now on our "map" we fully intend to visit again.
