As you enter the restaurant, your first impression is "This is Germany!" And this impression lasts. Maybe it's the way of cooking, maybe it's the way the dishes are served, but the general impression is: German. Interesting, and rather unexpected. The quality is OK, though, and there is nothing wrong with the wine.

After visiting the restaurant close to 20 times over the year we are unfortunately a bit disappointed after our last visit. The menu has moved from seafood and brasserie style towards Alsacian food. The oysters still get five out of five however. Earlier you could order a semi bottle of a nice white Graves or Burgundy compared to today's very limited offer. The scallops with parsley tasted well but were a bit over cooked. On top of this the service was very slow but friendly. On the positive side prices are very competitive.

Friendly staff, challenging (if you are not local) menu, good, choice of beers. Proficiency, quality and enthusiasm - if could only all chains be like this, travel would be easy and, probably, boring!

This chain have a number of outlets around France.
This particular location is opposite the department store Galeries Lafayette in the centre of Metz.
Over the years we have eaten here a number of times. This is not fine dining but you get good food served well with rarely any surprises.
I ate lunch here with my wife and daughter on Wednesday 4th April 2012. There are a number of combination menus at various prices.
We had a variety of food delivered to the table and all was good with the exception of some "roast" potatoes that were clearly burnt. I was not aware of this until later in the meal when I remarked I could smell burning? It should have been clear to the waiter and or the chef. These should never have been put in front of a customer.
This shows either very bad supervision or a contempt for the customer.
I would have expected better.
If we return they will have to do better.
