Very disappointed, we had Lamb & mash which was very plain , no taste, & the rib eye veal chop breadcrumbed, tough , the salad was good, the wine was not chilled, got bad vibes from the waitress who asked if I wanted another gin & tonic she would have to go & get some more tonic!!!! Overall not worth the very expensive price, just riding off the name of the chef,(not worth it).

Something that you have to try once in your live!
Last year on the New York Times there was a list of 10 restaurant's you must get a plain just to go there, Garzón Restaurant was one of them!
In the midlle of nowhere, literaly...
The gran Chef Francis Mallmann an Argentina sun that seak peace on this 200 people little town.
One of the best meals of my life! Ojo de bife it's the one ;)
The restaurant it's lovely but visit the web site because it's only open during 3 months of the year
Very, very good!

A bit out of the way, but an easy trip from Jose Ignacio and Garcon is a really cool little town. The meal was fantastic and the restaurant itself is really neat and the staff is very nice. While I would definitely say the meal was worth every penny, it should be noted that this is not an inexpensive restaurant. Not a knock by any means, but just so you are aware. Again, fantastic food and if there ever is a "destination restaurant", this is it.

We drove to have lunch at Hotel Garzon while we were staying in Punta del Este. The drive was beautiful and the countryside around Garzon was beautiful. The food was definitely wonderful - the steak was the best I have ever tasted. The salad of beets, oranges, goat cheese and onions was quite enjoyable too. Lunch for two with a shared appetizer and a shared dessert with two sodas, though, was $220 USD and they did not take credit cards. I can think of numerous better meals for that kind of money, but the experience was one of a kind.

Visited the restaurant and the courtyard for a glass of vino with some friends. Staff were incredibly lovely and transparent offering us great service, the use of free internet and excellent choice of wines. The courtyard plays host to an outdoor bar and a small but much appreciated pool, bear in mind this is a very very small village at the end of a very long road in the middle of nowhere. Nevertheless popular to those seeking privacy and escapism from the city. The restaurant also sells cookbooks and locally produced extra virgin olive oil and other delicious condiments-which we have stocked up on. There is plenty of outside seating area in front of the restaurant/hotel with fresh vegetables on display showcasing what might be cooked for lunch/dinner. There is also a separate big garden/eating area for functions a few blocks down the road with beautiful flowers blooming. This is what happens when great talent & entrepeneurship meet investing time not only in its staff but its customers too. It is not a cheap place but worth every penny! Hope to visit every year as a special excursion!
