We were welcomed by the young son practicing his English, who carried ALL of our luggage to our room in one trip. The room had a nautical theme with a blue motif -- very cute and restful. there were fishes on the towels, an oar for a curtain rod, and innumerable other creative touches. The dinner was outstanding -- 3 weeks into our trip it was the very best. (Homemade chervil soup, salmon/leeks with a luscious sauce, 2 nice cheeses, ending with moelleux chocolate dessert. Breakfast was also the best to date, great croissants with the most intense raspberry confiture we've ever tasted. Our host Chantal showed us the capitelle (a type of "borie") on the property and also one on an adjoining property as we have an interest in all aspects of regional buildings. We enjoyed talking to her so much that our departure was much later than usual! This is definitely one of the very best chambre d'hotes that we've stayed in, out of more than 500 over a period of 30 years, Highly recommended.

I have recently returned from France where I stayed at several Chambres D'hotes, this was the best by a long long way. Chantal is such a delightful lady making you so welcome from the moment that you arrive. The room was lovey (the blue room) with our own seating area on a balcony outside the room. Great en - suite with all the necessary equipment including a hair dryer! Outside the garden is beautiful and there is a swimming pool and lovely sun lounges for your use. The breakfast is wonderful with lots of interesting things to eat and homemade bread and jams made by Chantal. We had dinner on our first night (pre-booked) and it was delicious, a three course meal which was as good if not better than you would get in any top class restaurant. I cannot say enough about La Tour Cajou - if you are going to or near Uzes you must stay here. You can walk to Uzes - Chantal will tell you the way so you do not have to walk on the road.
I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every moment of my stay and if I ever return to this area this is place I would stay.

Stayed as a family of four for 4 nights. Our kids voted this place as their favourite during our month trip to France. Chantal is an amazing host as the others have said. Her house is absolutely beautiful. We had our own private "wing" of the house - 2 rooms each with their own bathroom, and an outdoor balcony. The rooms were beautifully decorated.
The only problem was that it was very hot during our stay, and there is no air conditioning. It was breezy though, so we left the windows open (which let the mosquitoes in). Our breakfast each morning was delicious, different, and plentiful. Chantal prepared us dinner 2 nights, which was delicious - especially the duck (I am still dreaming about it!). She was an excellent host and all her recommendations for activities and restaurants were spot on. After the first day, when we thought it was a good idea (she tried to gently dissuade us) to go and see Roman ruins in the mid day heat - we stopped all planning ourselves and did exactly what she advised which worked out much better :).
Uzes itself is a lovely town, and a great base for visiting Pont du Gard. We really enjoyed Nimes as well. We also went to a winery which Chantal arranged for us, had a tour by the owner and bought several bottles.
Would highly recommend La Tour Cajou and Chantal really goes out of her way to ensure an excellent vacation. We hope to return one day!

Room tip: excellent option for a family of 4 with 2 rooms in your own wing of the house

If you are looking for a B&B in the Gard, look no further. La Tour Cajou is absolutely great. Your hostess Chantal will welcome you to her wonderful home and gardens. The accommodation and breakfast are only surpassed by friendly atmosphere and calm. It's not often you can stay somewhere that is faultless but here everything was perfect!

Our stay at "La Tour Cajou" was an absolutely perfect experience, Cajou has a perfect location set in the county side just outside of the Uzes City Center you will find yourself enveloped with the beautiful scenery of the surrounding area. the room we had was wonderful, uniquely set apart from the main house with an outdoor walkway on the second floor you can expect an abundance of privacy as you drift away in this extremely comfortable room. Chantal will lives up to every expectation of a perfect host, Breakfast was always perfect with many locally sourced products. Chantal is also a great source for local sites and activities, we were suggested to visit the "Quarries of Light" and this was one of the highlight of our time in Uzes. Cajou made a perfect beginning to our trip through Europe and I'm sure would make a ideal beginning, middle or end to yous, i know our trip would not be complete without our stay at "La Tour Cajou" and we are so happy we found it.
