The restaurants in Uzes get very booked up in the summer so this was the only place with good reviews we could get into. The waitresses were helpful and friendly and it was a lovely spot by the sycamores in the main square. We had the fish (recommended by one of the waitresses) which was tender and came with rice and other bits and we also had the cook-your-own steak. Cook-your-own makes up a large part of the menu and basically comprises small pieces of raw meat which you can cook as you like them on a hot plate. It was quite fun and different and a talking point and the meat tasted nice. The food was fine - not the best I've had but no complaints. We headed across the square for coffee and ice-cream at the big parlour Passion.
