This place was recommended by a local Brussels, Belgium Woluwe St. Pierre businessman, who is the proprietor of the Upingnac store on Gribaumont near Tervuren. Thanks to him by the bucket load. The restaurant was very tastefully decorated, with the special treat of famous Hollywood icon pictures hung all about, everything looked and felt new and clean, down to silverware. I always appreciate good silverware; it is a quirk of mine. All of the food we had was without a dout prepared with the utmost respect for the ingredients (I had Cabbiode, Joe had Monkfish, G had the mixed meat platter, Pierrette had the lamb). Apettisers were prepped just as lovingly, and were a truly decent size-not "American" huge, nor pretentious French small-perfect sizes for all four of us. The Menu was fairly comprehensive, with different items for different tastes, moods, people, etc.. Not a huge menu, which lends to the fact that each dish that the marvelous chef prepares gets special attention. That brings me to the staff-the Chef and I think the lady was his wife. It was not that busy when we were there, so the chef and his wife were able to pay special attention to our group, which always makes the dining experience better for me; attentive, without being overly so, cordial, happy, and they did not mind us engaging them in conversation, especially the chef, who took the time to explain his preparations of all of the dishes. We also spent quite a bit of time after our meal to just sit and chew the fat with them. Wonderful People. NOW the big one: THE BEST lemon meringue pie on the face of the Earth (sorry mom!!!). Seriously the BOMB.
