Camping La Nautique
Reviewed September 24, 2013

From the 16th to the 22nd September 2013, we visited Camping La Nautique, What a surprise when we arrived to a friendly and informative welcome. At the pitch we were amazed at the on-suite facilities, which were clean and immaculately maintained. The site is well maintained , with no sign of neglect or tiredness which would be justifiably expected at the end of the season.I recommend anti mosquito coils for evenings, which for us where completely adequate. The ground is hard, steel tent pegs are most than effective. We shall definitely be returning to La Nautique in order to explore the local area.

The scenic view during the sunset is magnificent and the camp is very calm. I don''t remember much from the camp itself while it's 7 years now since I've been there.

Prepare for a very rocky and dried soil, so the tent stakes won't be nearly of any use.

It is only fair that people should be warned that no matter how nice this campsite is- (and it is ! )- it is unfortunately also mosquito city !!We were eaten alive, and no warning was given by the campsite.(There are some electric fly killers on site, but these are a drop in the ocean for what is needed!)
Would we go back? After researching the mosquito situation on the French news - no! And beware, you can get so much more than an irritating rash from these flying silent assasins.

Amazing campsite just outside Narbonne and close to Gruissan. This is the second time we have used the site, this time with a young family and will come back again. Great location for Narbonne and 10 mins to Gruissan and its beaches and watersports. Polite and friendly staff, clean and functional site and each pitch has a private sanitary block - toilet, shower etc, potable water & power! Ground a bit hard for camping - pack a ground sheet! So much better than those available in Gruissan so worth the short drive. Great shop, wifi etc on site. Pool lots of fun and well managed - have to wear speedos in French public pools - so pack your budgie smugglers ! Look out for their amazing out of season deals on some lovely chalets !

We really enjoyed this quite well managed campsite. Good sized pitches with hook up facilities.
Lovely restaurant run by the very hardworking Alex--a must to visit whilst you are on site. Good facilities for Children and during peak season lot of activities for them.
Small shop selling basics but its only a ten minute drive to Narbonne where you can visit a large Carrefour. Whilst in Narbonne visit Les Halles the central covered market in the centre. Easy parking close by. There is a guy in Les Halles called Jerome who has a stand on which he sells his home made dishes. He is a quality chef and has worked across the world in top establishments. Please visit him and try his food--you wont be disappointed.
