We stayed here last september, and loved it!
The place is a little hard to find (make sure you count the roundabouts correctly, and go far enough around on the last one, or you will end up in the next town - as we did, twice!).
We were also a little unsure as we drove down the road on which the hotel is located...it is a narrow track with a water filled ditch on either side, and some of the buildings you pass are a little run down. When we arrived at the gate and rang in, the (rusty high) gate creaked open, and it was a little spooky as we were just about at sunset!
But through the gate, paradise opens up before you - beautiful, idylic grounds, lovely gardens, birds chirping, ponds, trees, and then, a beautiful old and very well renovated farm house.
The lady who runs the place is lovely, sweet and helpful, and the rooms are gorgeous - both the bedroom/bathrooms, and the common dining room. There are also common areas to sit outside in the gardens. Our room was on the ground floor, and had a beautiful little terrace with bistro table and chairs, surrounded by roses.
The breakfast was delicious, particularly the croissants and the home made jam. In fact we mentioned how the marmelade was the best we had ever tasted and how much my mother would have loved it, and she brought a jar to us at the end of the meal to bring home!
Narbonne itself was okay, but there are some great places to see nearby, including an abbey, the bay, and the nearby beaches along the ocean.
This place really is an oasis, and is worth visiting in its own right - it is a relaxing garden of eden!
