This budget savvy stop was an excellent addition to the trip. After an overly firm bed in Paris, it was really nice to have something that was a bit more spacious and comfortable. The decor is slightly dated, but great room, with a balcony, regular TV, nice recently renovated bathrooms.
The price and location are definitely right!! Close the centre of anything you could want, and was out least expensive stay so far. Free included highspeed, which had a good DL rate (I had to get a program, and it did 3GB in about 3 hours, which I thought was excellent).
We wish we had another night...but it was just a quick stop over.
Front Desk Agents were English, and knew the town quite well.

Room Tip: We requested a high floor, which was accommodated, but there really isn't much of a view anyway.

Spacious room, large bed, balcony with seating, large clean bathroom with shower and tub, separat w/c. Well priced. Andrew was a marvelous host, providing many tips to maximize our enjoyment of the area. Nice breakfast too for the money. We were easily able to walk to all sites, yet were only 5 minutes to the train station with Sncf access. Day trips to Arles, Aix, and others in less than an hour. We enjoyed our time here so much that we tried to extend to a sixth night, but the hotel was sold out. All in all, a very comfortable stay with gracious hosts. I hope to return again when revisiting the area.

This hotel is well located only a very short walk from all of the sites. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are typical of an older French hotel and are very nice if you aren't expecting a modern American style hotel. They have secure parking for about 5 cars. This hotel is a great value.

We stayed here for 2 nights as our touring base. This is a small property (12 rooms) run by an English couple who really know the meaning of service. The rooms are spacious wich is unusual for a 2 star city property. You can have breakfast at a suppl. If you have a car then pre book the garage, also at a suppl. All in all this is a good 2 star property. There are 3 or 4 restaurants nearby but don't go to Nimes for a culinary experience. Its a good base and beautiful ancient architecture.

I don’t usually take too much notice of Tripadvisor ratings, as some people have some strange ideas about what is acceptable. I chose this hotel because of its price and central location. I was impressed by the professionalism of the staff. I arrived at about 6.00 pm and found a parking place on the street. The fact that the owners are English will be useful for those who don’t speak French.
Small touches – extra blankets folded on the bed; you don’t have to search for them in the cupboard. When I was waiting for my companion in the lobby after breakfast I was offered a cup of coffee.

We booked 2 nights in this hotel and could have stayed longer. Near enough to the railway station, it was also close to the arena, the old part of town and other attractions. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff, who spoke English, were helpful and provided good instructions on how to catch the public bus for a day trip to Pont du Gard. There are many choices of cafes and restaurants nearby but the Palette du Gourmand opposite was a winner. WIFI in the room worked - a bonus sometimes. We were impressed by the emerging civic pride in Nimes, and the newly re-opened main square and nearly finished boulevard. We would return to this good value charming modest hotel and Nimes one day. (The weather was cool/mild. An open window in summer for fresh air could prove noisy but the room did have an air conditioner).

We stayed a week with teenage children and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is well situated in the centre of town, very convenient for local sites, restaurants and the bus and train stations. Its a small, well cared for hotel but the biggest plus is the owners who are incredibly helpful and knowlegable about the area. We used Nimes as a base to explore Avignon, Arles and the Carmargues using public transport (mostly buses).
