My boyfriend picked this one out and it was different than the places we usually stay at. Not very easy to find. We had to call then twice before we found it. The staff was nice and the room was fine. We didn't like the shower because it was in a bathtub and you had to hold the hand held shower head. Too much work and I can't even enjoy it. The reception area and halls are tiled and it was very noise with people talking and laughing. Bed wasn't very comfortable and the pillows were pieces of foam. I don't think we would go there again.

The hotel itself was very nice, a more rustic choice than some of the chain hotels we'd been staying in. We didn't take advantage of the tennis courts or swimming pool while we were there as we were using this hotel as a base to explore the area rather than to stay there and relax.

This is a lovely hotel but it could be better as others have said. The shower was my main annoyance. When it's 30 degrees outside you want a decent shower at the end of the day but it was very hard to get the shower to pick a temperature and pressure and stick with it. It would flash hot and cold without me having touched anything. I found it was bad in the mornings - when I expect you are competing with other rooms for water pressure and temperature. I found that if I had a shower at night before bed then it was totally fine, I'm guessing because less people were showering then?

Some people said the wifi was amazing although that must depend on where your room is because we couldn't get a decent signal at all. That doesn't really matter though but it might be better to improve consistency across rooms.

The room was very quiet and there was no noise from other guests. The bed seemed very comfortable until we tried to sleep on it. It's a very soft bed which is great for lazing around but when you try to sleep it's not necessarily the best thing for your back.

There was air con, although it didn't really have much of an effect so we were quite hot some nights and seemed to have a very thick winter duvet which of course we didn't need.

The decor etc is very nice and there seems to be a resident cat who was always happy to greet us. The staff were nice although we didn't have much to do with them. Upon check-in they showed us to our room and gave us the key and then promptly left, which was fine, although we didn't get the usual spiel about what time they served breakfast and use of the pool etc. Maybe if you haven't booked breakfast in advance you can't opt in? We didn't care because we didn't want the breakfast anyway.

They didn't provide instructions on returning late at night to the hotel (where there's more than ample parking) but we pushed the button for the gate and it opened immediately so that was a relief - as otherwise you're sticking out a bit on to a main road.

I don't think the hotel is good for public transport links (although there did seem to be buses going by) and yes it's a few miles out of Nimes itself so you need a car. Nimes itself is very busy and loud with a big belt of retail parks and out of town stores around the outskirts so staying outside of all this was nice.

As I said this is a nice hotel with lots of promise and will definitely give you a more rustic, French country hotel feel with a bit of luxury. A few improvements and it will be a great hotel.

The hotel is situated outside of Nimes, so it's not recommended for those travelling without a car. The surroundings are very lovely. The rooms are OK, but attention to the details. The bed wasn't comforable. Showers- a bit of a nightmare. Almost impossible to fix them at the right water temperature. One of the lamps was a bit temperamental-sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. It was difficult to figure out how the TV works. WIFI- hardly working. The people at the reception were very friendly and welcoming except for one lady, who was even having a go at her colleague in front of the clients. Not very professional. Also there is no luggage locker for the customers, who wish to have their suitcase stored for a few hours. We were almost left with the rebuff. The big plus was the breakfast: fresh fruit, homemade jam, etc.- tables next to the little, relaxing swimming pool.

An amazing very chic hotel in a great location.
We stayed here one night following a weekend at Le Mans on our way to Monaco. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome.
We had an amazing room and the food was of a very high quality. There is also plenty of secure free parking. The whole experience was excellent and we would not hesitate in staying here again.
The main advise that I would offer to anyone staying here is to ensure that you have some very detailed directions before you commence your journey, ie a google map and take a look on google earth before hand . The GPS was unable to locate the hotel and kept directing us to an industrial estate, evethough we had entered the address as advised on the laterooms booking confirmation. After deciding to ignore the GPS (following 3 times round the industrial estate) we found this little gem of a hotel.

We stayed here one night until we could move into the house we are now renting in Nîmes. Our GPS went on strike when we installed it into the hired car, and with only Google Maps, we found the hotel really difficult to find. Once we arrived, all was well: welcoming and well-informed staff, a nice room with mezzanine which was large enough for all four of us, very nice food and a good size swimming pool. I was wondering a bit about what I thought was a moldy smell in the entrance. The owner of the house we are renting now says that is due to some recycling installation at the back of the hotel. It was really no big thing, but I was wondering whether this smell was in the ground floor rooms.

Room Tip: We really enjoyed our 4 person room, and it turned out cheaper than 2 rooms at a cheap hotel.

We were a party of five on a business trip and stayed here one night.

The Hotel is located outside Nimes in a quiet rural location down a tree lined lane with ample free parking to the left side of the lane.

The hotel is a traditional Provençal stone building with much character that has been restored carefully to be modern while at the same time keeping with the original character and charm.

The bedroom was modern and comfortable and the bathroom extremely clean. It is a family run hotel and the staff were very helpful and friendly. In fact I would say that the ambience of the building and the helpful staff is what made the stay really enjoyable. I fully recommend!

Free wifi throughout the hotel and with excellent connectivity.

Set just outside the city, the hotel is one of two sharing the same tree-lined car parking area. (You may find that the Le Pre Galoffre is not listed on your GPS. It also doesn't have a number in Route De Generac and we had a problem finding it - until we realised its neighbouring hotel , the Mas de Galoffre was on the GPS. Each is in a grand country building, Le Pre being the smaller of the two with rooms on ground and one upper floor. The rooms were well presented and comfortable and the welcome charming and helpful. The ground floor rooms have small terraces through the French doors. Reasonably priced out of season at 67 euros in March. Very comfortable and relaxing in calm country surrounds well away from the road but only a short drive into the interesting city of Nimes with its amazing Arenes colosseum.

Room Tip: Ground floor if you want to be able to walk out onto your own tiny terrace, although the upper floor...
