Our stay in Nimes was absolutely wonderful, first of all because we were in this glamorous, Opera themed apartment that is very well located here in the town, everything is right on your doorstep. And secondly because Gordon is the perfect host. Everything is well explained and organized and he instantly answers any request and last but not least the ballet and concert show we were invited to see at his home theater were a new and really enjoyable experience. We had great fun :-)
Thank you Gordon!

What an adventure it was to stay at Opera Diva>We were very fortunate to have met Gordon (.Although we had a hick-up to start which was mainly our fault) We just clicked.....and were lucky to have spent a lovely evening with Gordon and his friends. The apartment was huge ,with just the two of us .As our friends had to cancel at the last minute due to ill health.Opera Diva is in a fantastic position ,on the same street as the Maison Carre, and about 200 meters from the market. We were able to walk to almost everything. the Les Arenes the Jardin de la Fontain etc.We loved Nimes, and I said to my husband while walking one day ,"who needs Paris"!! It was great to have a washing machine and dryer .It's good to have clean clothes when travelling! We stayed in the Margot and Rudolph room which was comfortable, although the pillows could be updated. The apartment feels like you are living on a stage set ! It was wonderful. Also Gordon came to help us with our bags on the bus to the station, for our trip to Barcelona. It was so kind of him to help us oldies (70&68 yrs).In all an excellent experience ,we hope to return!!!

Imaginative themed decoration provides a wonderful theatrical backdrop to stay in. Too many holiday lets are bland and boring but not this one! Inspired by opera and ballet the aprtment is a theatrical tour de force. Underneath is a traditional fin de siecle apartment with enough doors for a Feydeau farce. The location opposite the Carre D'Art is perfect. A wonderful base for living in rather than just staying in Nimes. The daily market at Les Halles, with food for every taste is just down the road. Because of the market we did a lot of cooking/food preparation and found the kitchen pretty well equipped. Nimes is a great town to just walk around plus we able to visit the Pont du Gard and Aigues Mortes by bus very cheaply. NB: Unless you are immune to noise or planning to join in the fun until 3-4am do not stay here during the Pentecost Fiera !! The landlord Gordon has clearly enjoyed himself creating the themed rooms as well as providing lots of useful extras in the apartmement.

Situated across the road from the Carré d’Art (modern art museum) and a few second’s walk from the Maison Carrée the location of this superb apartment could not be better; right in the heart of Nîmes.
The decoration in the apartment is wonderful; it is rather like living in a theatre set! The three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin) are all themed; two Opera and one ballet, beautifully done!
The kitchen is well equipped and we had no difficulties self-catering when we wished to.
The nearby parking ‘Maison Carrée’ offers a weekly ticket for 50€; see the attendant in his/her office on the first level, after you have entered and parked, they will change the ticket for you. The steps come out a stone's throw from the apartment.
If it's available, we will stay here again the next time we visit Nîmes; highly recommended! Thank you for a great stay Gordon!

A beautiful apartment in a building dating from the late 1800's. City sights and sounds, all within walking distance of downtown, cafes, and Roman Ruins. A great jumping off point to drive to various parts of Provence and Cote D'Azur. The Opera themed rooms are just wonderful, and we always looked forward to our return from a long day. Le Halle, a glorious farmers market is a 10 minute walk, and provided us with great food to prepare in the well appointed kitchen. Also Gordon (the owner) provides free international calling and internet access. It is an older building with traditional French Door windows and an interior balcony that faces the other units. No air conditioning, but with the windows open at night and some night life at the plaza, it was fine for us. Parking is convenient with a car car park, where you can negotiate a weekly rate.

This was our second visit to the apartment and yet again we were deligted with the decor the town the attractions and the host. Gordon is a joy to deal with and we will certainly return. On this trip we took the opportunity to take the TGV to Marseille which was wonderful and a day trip to Arles which, frankly, was a disappointment. The area was a let down and the arena does not even compare to the one in Nimes. Nimes is gorgeous and friendly with great places to eat and shop and Gordon always makes you welcome. The streets are interesting and varied and the Roman architecture is fantastic. The apartment offers a high standard of accomodation and ease of access to all the attractions. We will return for a third visit - hoprefully for two weeks.
