Following the advice of a couple of other reviewers we went to this restaurant on a sunday evening. I mention this because we started to get concerned as we made our way through the tiny alleys of The old Nimes as all the restaurants were closed on a Sunday. Much to the relief of our stomachs (which were just coming to terms with the fact that it looked as though it was going to be Maccas tonight) we found O2 La Bar open. We were not disappointed. We selected the E29 combination which started with a cocktail (we had an excellent Piña Colada) followed by an Entree, main meal, cheese plate and then dessert. There were 5 or 6 dishes to select from at each course and for the first we chose Foie Gras which we were advised was home made and which was simply divine. For the second we chose fillet mignon which came with gnocchi and a wonderful mushroom and red wine sauce. After the camembert, I had home made apple pie and cream and my wife had a delightful warm chocolate mousse cake and cream. We sent back clean plates after each of the courses. Amazing value for such fantastic food which coupled with the very friendly and helpful waiter and the wonderful alfresco atmosphere made for a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommended!!
