“courtyard paradise”

If it hadn't have been for Christophe at the Jardins Secrets, we would never had experienced this amazing restaurant. Full of character and oozing charm. The service was impeccable and the dishes divine - try the platter of the selection of starters. Too delicious. Candlelight added to the atmosphere and when the thunderstorm arrived - our hosts unwound a canopy which made it even more magical

“A hidden gem!”

A lonely courtyard, excellent service and delicious food; simple and straightforward! We were a group of 9 and got attentive, proffessional service; despite grumpy kids and allergies!

“Le 9 but not 10/10”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

After a concert in Aréna, how could we find a restaurant in center a guide tell us to go rue de l'étoile, very small street with many brothel on 19th century because of soldiers in this area.
N°9 is just N°in the "STAR SREET" director propose us a nice table a very nice bar typical from 19th century, but crazy, impossible to drink on "le ZINC" like soldiers done it before us.
In large garden place, nice table, nice waiter bit old but so malicious in his blue eyes.
Nice wine card with Jaboulet red and white and petite cocote idem, fine and nice choice.
Tomato (beefheart) with basil and big slice of Mozarella what a fresh idea to start, then Red athuna fish with fresh french fryes and green bean cryspie in mouth but Burbot steam cook was great for me, nice choice dessert ...
more than 10 people ariived late but they accept them, very strange attitude, in this town after 10 PM they fired you as donkeys.
Greate momment to smell and taste white wine alchemy, pure traditional homemade food.
But coffee is to strong for foreigners (I mean no French)
At least 9/10 is not 10/10 but soon they'll get star 1ST.

“A (almost) perfect experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2012

We discovered the restaurant's little courtyard by accident, but we're very glad we did. It was a very very good experience to eat out there, sitting in the courtyard, people chatting quietly, bit of bohemian charme, but not too much of it. The staff was ridiculously nice, they seemed to genuinely like their job. The food was excellent, and so was the wine and the dessert. I agree with other reviewers that it was slightly on the expensive side, more than twice of what we'd normally pay, but it was the end of a ten day camping trip, we thought we treat ourselves to this, and we still don't regret any penny we spent there. So all fine, just an advice if you travel on a budget: be aware of what you sign up for when you order food and drinks :-) Apart from that, it's well worth it!
