Beautiful and tastefully decorated apartment in a 17th century house right by the marché aux fleurs!
Spent a great weekend in September: we enjoyed the al fresco dinners on the terrasse , the quiet nights in the spacious and comfortable bedrooms... and the easy access to the centre of Montpellier. Everything is on your doorstep!
I highly recommend it!
Appartement La Terrasse du Marche aux Fleurs is situated in the Old part of Montpellier and very central to most of the attractions, trams and not too far from the train station.
The appartment is well fitted out and very comfortable, as we were looking after two grand children going to French Summer school it was great beeing able to cook at home, wash and we were only 5 minutes from the schools.
We were close to a great market for food, butcher shops etc.
We were able to go by train to other interesting towns around Montpellier on days when the children were at school.
Airconditioning worked well, it was quite very little traffic noise and very secure.
This is a beautifully renovated property in a prime, central location in Montpellier. Everywhere is within walking distance. It has everything you need for a trip to this lovely city. The kitchen is small but well equipped and eating outside on the terrace is a great option. The decor is tasteful and modern while retaining all the original features of the old building. Great books to peruse and interesting artwork. We will definitely return. Karl the concierge is very helpful.
This place is a delight. Its location, right on the flower market square, makes it ideal for the lovely historic centre of Montpellier. The flat sleeps 4 in comfort and six at a push. Two toilets and one bathroom provide very adequate amenities. The apartment is furnished in a charming, comfortable and very thoughtful manner, and we loved the little touches that made it feel just like home. Scented candles, nice quality crockery, and very tastefully designed renovations make this a compelling offer and a great alternative to a dismal French hotel chain like Ibis. The beds were supremely comfortable and the pillows - creamy and soft - bliss.
No apologies for sounding like an advertisement - this is a lovely place to spend a few days in Montpellier. One word of caution: beware of walking into low beams on the upper floor...
