My daughter requested we went, as she is 6 she couldn't remember our previous visit 2/3 yrs ago. Its always been a bit of a mixed bag - part education with research-type areas for kids, part entertainment - sub-par disney ship ride seems pointless, part fish on show, part Q&A with for us a rather tetchy staff member who seemed to think all the young kids should sit still and listen. It's too much to try and cram in to a shopping centre attraction.
But also this time it seemed to have run out of steam. The research areas were unsurprisingly empty, but throughout the information available was poorly presented and worst of all the interactive booths were worn out and many not working. No signs to say sorry or anything. Just fiddle fiddle prod prod, oh it must be broken. This place looks like it had its funding severely cut and we the punters are paying the price. Anyway my daughter is old enough now for me to explain why we won't be going again.

when there on Eastern. We had a 2 hour visit with the grandchildren; they loved it. Wonderful and learningfull experience.
And there is a trip on a boat in the storm; you feel at sea

We visited this aquarium today and it was truly wonderful. The children were free as they were aged under 5 and it cost about €31 for my husband and I. You start at the top with the shark tank being the central attraction and there are some big sharks and different species. There is a great boat simulator which my 4 year old thought was just wonderful. This simulates a boat during a serious sea storm and it also has a steering wheel, switches, buttons and levers for the kids to play with. There is then a submarine section. Finally there is a sunny area with piranhas. There is also a kids slide, a talking tree and some stepping stones - but we did end up with a child with very wet shoes and trousers!!!

Only downside is the limited restaurant but it is on a commercial park with everything from subway to tommys diner and even a pirate themed restaurant (which stops serving lunch at 2.45).

The movies at this IMAX Planetarium are great and informative, but the lecture after the movie by the staff is long and tedious and boring. They offer audio sets for various languages, which worked great for us English speakers. However, the post-movie lecture is only in French, so you have to sit there for 45 minutes not knowing what is going on. Would recommend other attractions at the Odysseum over this one.

This aquarium is extremelly well done, with different sections dedicated to different types of maritime and sealife, all of which are interactive, and perfect for both children and adults. It is located right off the tram line in the fun Odysseum complex.
