The restaurant has a limited menu which suited us fine, or so we thought. The saddle of lamb was disappointing - more stuffing (not sure what was in it) than lamb. Wine was good and there was a good choice. It is small and the tables are smaller - we had to put the water carafe on the floor. Shame because the bistro was just around the corner from where we staying.

The restaurant has seatings at the bar and alongside it on high chairs, and in the back more "normal" seats/tables. The staff is very open and friendly and wellcomes you.
The menu rather limited but with some tasty choices.
We had their burgers which were fine with the necessary and quite usual stuff on the side.
Several wines by the glass are available, and also the winelist has many fine choices.
All in all an ok dinner.

We visited Chez Boris twice during our trip as we found the opportunity to taste wines by the glass a great way to try local vintages we'd never heard of! We were lucky to be staying just round the corner so managed to get in without booking on our first night but decided to make a reservation for the second visit. The charcuterie plate is an excellent foil for some delicious reds and the burger is one of the best we've ever had - made from Limousin beef it comes with really fresh salad and a scrummy bun. Get the maitre d' to recommend wines for you and then make a note and buy them 5 mins away in the Maison du Vin - you won't be disappointed!

I enjoyed a meal at this restaurant in April 2012 and was anxious to return this trip, though having failed to take note of the name last time, it took me a while to locate it.
The menu has changed (no duck breast on the menu last night), so both my friend and I opted for the steak. The steal was flavourful, but a little overcooked for our liking. I had requested rare, but got medium rare instead. My friend had requested medium-rare however hers was medium+.
We both ordered dessert. The classic creme brûlée was excellent as what the molten chocolate cake. The desserts made up for the overcooked steak.
The atmosphere was pleasant, and although the restaurant was busy we did not feel rushed in any way. We did make a reservation earlier in the day which turned out to be a wise choice as latecomers were turned away.
