A stone's throw away from the Place de la Comédie, Hotel d'Aragon is a lovely little hotel in the city centre and a great base to explore Montpellier.

The rooms were immaculate and of a good size, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Arnaud for his great restaurant tips and advice on places to visit.

We will be returning againing soon!

Attractive location, tasteful decor, comfortable bed and fully equipped bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff (our fluent French could have helped, but I have no way of knowing). All in all, highly recommended. Please note that hotel has no full kitchen, thus serves breakfasts only (excellent, as always in France), and there is no elevator (then again, three floors only).

Booked this hotel basis the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Granted the location couldn't be better for sightseeing but, in the end, the Aragon proved to be more or less 'basic' in most regards. On the positive side: decent-sized room, discount voucher for city parking, free Wifi (even a netbook in the room,) genial staff. On the negative side: (and it was a big negative for us) the room overlooked the street, and because it was still quite warm while we were in Montpellier, we had to leave our window open to get fresh air. (no AC no fan) This, of course, allowed all sort of night noise to disturb our sleep: cars, motorcycles, revelers singing/shouting late into the night and worse, just as one was falling back to sleep, arrival of the garbage truck early in the AM. For the noise problem alone, I'd never go back

A great choice for the centre of Monpellier. Although finding the hotel in the car through the one way streets and road works of Montpellier was a challenge - more preparation required. We got a discount voucher towards the cost of parking.

The rooms were as described and very, very clean. The room was a little noisy: it was possible to hear your fellow travellers - but this wasn't disruption. Everything worked: TV, hairdryer, free wifi. The bed was comfy too.

The Reception service was excellent: helping with directions, parking, food etc, with immaculate english.

Breakfast was the most expensive of the trip but was good quality: including leaf tea. (very important after a week in France without good tea!)

Would feel staying here if I was travelling alone.

The hotel is a stone's throw from the main sights and within minutes of anywhere in the centre. The room I had was extremely spacious and quiet and the bed very comfortable. They offer free wi-fi and even free IP calls as an added bonus. There are no real public spaces to this hotel to speak of so it's not a place to hang out in and the corridors look shabby but don't let that influence you - the rooms are great.
