“Everything you need”

Stopped for one night to catch the Tour De France. Found the room had everything you needed to self cater. Clean adquately furnished for our needs although didn't spend long in the room. Tram stop is outside the hotel which is located amongst some grand buildings. There is also a small veg/ type market across from the hotel. It is easily walkable to the Centre or hire a cycle for 1 euro / 4 hours and see the City in half the time. It's also a half hour cycle to the coast along the river cycle path to Palavas. I would certainly stop there again if ever visiting again. Only criticism was there was only one pillow each and they were a little on the slim side.

Short tram ride or 20 minute walk from train station, rooms are clean and good size for a couple. Stayed in a double room with sofa bed. Only negative thing is the bed springs were squeaky and made noise every time you move and the walls and main door allow a lot of noise from other guests through. Central location for those who want to see city attractions and a convenient fruit market across the road for your breakfast. Would stay here again!

Montpellier was our last stop before going back to Barcelona. Our family of 4 stayed in a well appointed 1-bedroom apartment in Citadines. The room had a comfortable sofa with a pull out bed... perfect for our needs. All the necessary home appliances expected in a serviced apartment are there. Microwave could be better moved down though (placed high). Tram station right in front, but not noisy are all.. perfect again. A few stops from our station are the must see spots in Montpellier. And conveniently, the 'Gare' is nearby to hop on to a train and explore Sete on a day trip. Very limited service interaction with the staff but the beginning and end were important, and two thumbs up - fast, efficient, courteous, smiling, and helpful.

We've just got back from 3 nights at this hotel & have to say that we were very pleasantly surprised. We stayed in one of the studios & our room was massive, even with the bed pulled out it was alot bigger than many other hotels we've stayed at. The kitchen was also really well equipped & even had a mini dishwasher!

The hotel is located in a very convenient area, walking distance from the train station, and other attractions. It is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Would go back anytime.

We wanted somewhere not too far from the train station and with parking. Bonus was that we got upgraded to a 1 br apartment. Furnishings are a bit worn and carpet needs some attention - clearly some guests think they have a right to be dirty and not careful.
Staff helpful enough but their advice about nearby restaurants failed to mention the nearby Polygon area that had heaps. Close to Le Comedie and shops. Tram outside the door, market over the road. Parking was a bit tight to get into but OK.
WIFI OK but not in the room.
Good value and we could spread out - if we were here for longer, the kitchen would have been handy.
Toilet is small (the room) so you need to be careful when closing the door or you could jam your legs against the toilet!!

The Citadines in Montpellier is a excellent and affordable place to stay. Its location is superb to visit the attractions of the City being near to the modern Antigone area of Montpellier and just a short walk to the Polygone Shopping Mall and the old town and Place de Comedie. The accommodation is a bit dated in its decor and some facilities but clean and functional. The fully equipped kitchenette is practical but basic with Microwave, Toaster, two-ring hob, kettle and a small dishwasher.

The bed was confortable with heavy drapes to keep the early morning sun out. Seperate toilet and bathroom were both functional and again a little dated but perfectly fine and clean.

The living/dining room had a large sofa-bed with television. Though the tv was small and mainly showing non-english programmes this was overcome by the free wi-fi available.

There's no maid service (which can be paid as an extra) which means no early morning disturbance.

I would recommend this venue as an excellent place for a short city stay or a base to use to tour around the region.
