Great friendly staff and hotel is in a good location. We needed a hotel that was close to the station as we had a late checkin (10pm) coming from Barcelona by train and an early train out to Paris the next morning. Hotel was a 10 minute walk from the station and we were lugging 4 suitcase, which we did with ease. Room was very comfortable and quite large. Bathroom clean, modern and tidy as you would expect from this hotel chain. Price for the night was vey reasonable. Staff have been most helpful helping us to book our accommodation for our forwarding journeys. Breakfast was available for 9 euros however due to our departure we did not take up the offer. Locations i excellent as you are right in the square which is where the shopping, restaurants and cafes are. Would recommend to others.

Stayed here for 2 nights and we could walk to everything a tourist needs to see from the hotel. It is almost on the Place du Comedie, very close to the Tourist Info Office and close to restaurants, shops and the old town. We chose this hotel because it was close to the railway station and we able to walk there in under 10 minutes. Initially we found the hotel difficult to locate but once you look up in the air from the tourist office you cannot miss the hotel. We had a room on the 5th floor and it was the quietest room I've ever had in a hotel - although we did turn off the air conditioning which wasn't needed anyway the 2 nights we were there. Room was big but we would appreciate the choice of a room with 2 single beds. One of us had to sleep on a pull out sofa. But the room and bathroom were clean and the wifi was free and fast. Didn't sample the breakfast as lots of cafes just outside the door.

This hotel is in a great location walking distance to most things and easy access to the trams although a long walk from the train staion. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and fairly large. Our only problem was that we stayed there in early May and the weather was very hot. The room we were given was facing west and was very hot. we tried to use the airconditioning but were informed that the airconditioning throughout the hotel had not yet been turned on for the summer and the owner would not allow them to turn it on. They tried to help us by moving us to a room on the other side which was not as hot but still too hot for comfort and made sleeping very difficult. I would only stay at this hotel if I knew the airconditioning was available because the heat in our room really ruined the stay. Its a shame because otherwise we thought it was a good hotel in a good location at a fair price.

My husband and I recently spent my Birthday Weekend in Montpellier and would not normally have chosen an Ibis hotel, however this hotel was great and we will definately be back here.

Upon arrival the hotel is not the prettiest and is tired however the friendly staff more than make up for this, they cannot do enough for you, I have not experienced this level of genuine service at 5* hotels.

We paid £55 per night room only again the room was not the most luxurious and is a little bit like a tired premier inn however the bed was extremely comfortable, we had free wi-fi and air conditioning.

The location could not be better its right on the edge of the place comedie, the only downside to this is it can be a little noisy at night but that adds to the atmosphere.

Overall if you can get over the dated decor this hotel is probabally one of the best I have ever had and you can spend much more money on the wonderful meals and shopping that Montpellier has to offer.

Room Tip: We stayed on the side which was overlooking the place comedie not sure if it may be quieter on the o...

I have already stayed here twice this year and already booked a third. The rooms are large , very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is fine and consists of rolls, cereals, ham cheese, juice and coffee served in a large breakfast room. The location is the most central you can get with shops and restaurants adjacent. All in all a good choice for a weekend break. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms over the Triangle shopping centre can be noisy on Friday and Saturday nights from drinkers goi...
