We booked two nights here - one before going on a canal barge trip on the canal du midi and one one on the return. We were greeted after an early morning arrival expecting to leave our bags until the rooms were ready in the afternoon but were shown to our lovely room immediately. The hotel has a really charming roof terrace where we had breakfast in the morning - lovely selection, and some lovely sun loungers to relax on after walking around Montpellier town which is only a short walk away. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely try another in the Pullman hotel chain

Modern hotel right next to Polygone shopping mall in the heart of Montpellier, we had a luxury room on the 6th floor, small but comfortable room, with a well designed walk in shower room, loved the sliding walls closing off bathroom from bedroom. Roger Gallet toiletries are lovely.
Breakfast on 8th floor was excellent, little expensive I think at 29 euros, but was excellent quality, with a great selection.
Small swimming pool on roof and small fitness area on 8th floor.
Didn't try lunch or dinner or the ground floor bar, but liked this hotel very much and would use it again if in Montpellier in the future.

I was expecting an average hotel but this hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms are modern and updated. Spacious for even American Standards. Centrally located, with very in expensive valet parking. This hotel for the price has been the best that i have stayed at in Europe. The hotel sits right next too the downtown square, great dinning, cafe's....and much more. The Mall is located right next to the Pullman. The front desk was excellent with customer service and overall a very pleasant and wonderful experience. Highly Recommend.

Room Tip: Pick a room and you will be very satisfied. Just get one appropriate for your stay.

This is a great hotel for those who want to be near town, but not in town. It's a short walk, through the shopping mall, to get into the town and walk through the beautiful cobblestone streets. The hotel contrasts the city's historical appearance with clean, modern lines.

Dear peanutgal,
Thanks for your recent stay and comment. First at all, the Pullman Montpellier Antigone is in the heart of the City Center, between the new part "Antigone" and the historic side "Ecusson", you can do everything at walking distance without tramway or other public transport.
Thanks again for the nice score.
Best regards.

This is a very nice hotel and is situated in a great locaiton. Easy to find and easy to step outside and walk around the city. The hotel staff were very professional and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable and you can tell that the staff have been trained to put a lot of emphasis on making sure everything is just right.
The only negative is that the price for the room is a little high.

We spent 3 nights at the Antigone and depending on what your priorities are in a hotel you may like it or not. First the positive: the staff was excellent. They were friendly, attentive, definitely their strongest point. We had a few issues with our room (see negatives below) but the staff took care of everything quickly and graciously. The hotel's location is great. It's easy to walk along the tramway or through the attached mall to the Place de la Comedie and the core which is where all the action is. The Antigone is considered the most luxurious hotel in town but don't expect the same sort of luxury that you'd get at a Four Seasons or a Mandarin Oriental. This is a chic, modern and well appointed boutique hotel with small rooms. The rooftop dining room was a fabulous place to have breakfast. They use crisp, Irish linens and I loved that. The lobby bar was cosy and has a good selection of single malts and wines by the glass. They offer valet parking in a secure "box" for a small fee and that was a nice touch considering that you don't really need a car at all in Montpellier since the entire downtown core is pedestrian only. Now, a few negatives... The hotel is quiet except for the trams that rumble by throughout the day. The hotel located a few metres from the tramway so during the week, less so on weekends, you hear the constant rumble of the trams go by. The hotel uses heavily perfumed cleaning products and spray the carpets in the room daily. If you're sensitive at all to perfume you'll have a problem here. We had to change rooms because the smell was so strong especially on the 5th floor. We asked that the carpets not be sprayed when our room was cleaned for the duration of our stay and they obliged us. By the third night it the odour had dissipated. The bathrooms have a combined deep bath/shower so to get in and out of the shower you need to lift your leg way up and over the tub whose lip is over 70cms from the ground. There is no grab bar. I'm quite a fit person but even I found this to be a dangerous manoeuvre, especially soaking wet. I'm not sure if I'd stay here again but I wish I could clone the staff.

Room Tip: The rooms on the south side of the hotel have the best views but rooms ending in 15, 13, 11 are dire...

Dear tabby_travels,
Many thanks for your long and beautiful comment deposit on the Trip advisor website.
First at all thanks to have chosen the Pullman Montpellier Antigone.
Concerning the some issues, we never wanted to respond to the Parisian palaces will compete,
and this is reflected in reasoned prices for a boutique hotel and 4 stars classification.
Soundproofing and double glazing are installed in most Accor hotels. The materials used are among the most effective available. In some situations, however, it is difficult to achieve total soundproofing. When you make a booking, please do not hesitate to ask that the hotel provide you with the quietest room it has available. Your comments concerning the perfume will be taken into account.
Thanks for our staff, I will transmit them your word of praise.
Best regards,

My husband and I spent two nights here in October and were very impressed by the quality of the hotel and the level of service. The hotel seems to be used a lot for business and there were a couple of companies there whilst we were staying, but this only seemed to enhance the attentiveness of the staff. You should bear in mind you can end up having your breakfast and evening drinks with people talking business around you. The staff on reception are excellent, friendly and professional and you can expect the same service in the restaurant area. English is spoken to a high standard but they are quite happy to let you practise your French if you want to.
The hotel is located very near the centre of town and is ideally located for wandering around on foot. A great bonus is the terrace area on the 8th floor where there is a small swimming pool and eating area alongside the main restaurant.
We ate here one night and the food was well done although I thought some of the combinations a little odd. We sat outside and you get a view over the skyline and it you are being very picky a roundabout with a garage on it. Breakfast outside on the terrace in the sunshine is lovely with a choice of all the usual fruit juice, pastries and cereal and some cooked fare.
Parking is in a multi storey car park which is alongside the hotel. You have to follow many arrows to the right bit, but once there you are directly outside the back door of the hotel. You get a reduced rate for parking here and have to get your ticket validated by the hotel.
There is nothing quirky or particularly original and regional about this hotel but it provides good quality accommodation and I would stay here again if I was in the area.
