In January, you have to walk through a delightful terrace to get to the restaurant. It must be lovely in the summer with shady trees and charming environment. Inside, the restaurant extends on three sides of a U. One side is open to many tables and is very noisy. We asked to be moved to a quieter spot and got a niche all to ourselves on the other side. It was perfect for a private conversation.

We did not get a look at the blackboard for the day's specials. It was gone 9.30pm so maybe they had all gone. We ate off the à la carte menu and because it was so expensive, only had a main dish. I chose a veal chop (26Eur) that came with mushroom purée and some tepid ratatouille, and chips. Veal should be an exquisite meat with delectable, tender flesh. This was not of that quality. Frankly it was almost tasteless, but there was a lot of it. The chips were fine, and we had a nice bottle of red from Aumelas. The meal came to 83Eur but it wasn't worth it. I could have done better going to my local butcher for a decent piece of veal and grilling it at home. Very disappointing. My partner had St Jacques on pasta (23Eur) and it was very bland, the seafood probably frozen and not very tasty.

It's a shame the food is so banal, because the environment is lovely. Not worth the money but the service was okay.

The patio is still as pleasant as ever, tucked away in a courtyard in the centre of Montpellier. However the food was just ordinary, over-cooked steak dry mashed potatoes, squid in ink (my wife's favourite) unappetising. Of the four friends not one cleaned their plate. 150€ for 4 people, we are used to better!

This is a very popular restaurant, packed when we went to confirm our reservation at lunchtime and packed the night we ate. We were slightly disappointed with some of the dishes (overcooked fish) and amazed when we asked for a recommendation for a digestif and were told they had no Almangnac and recommended a Venesualan rum!!! Could do better.

I went twice, however, some years ago. Great atrium to enjoy mild mediterranean nights with excellent dishes.

The unusual weather (rain the entire day) meant that we could not eat outside in the huge patio/courtyard area. Walking through a relatively small door on the street the courtyard area opens up to a surprisingly large area and suddently you are away from anything other than the atmosphere intentionally created. Food very good. Service very good. As with all restaurants in montpellier a little expensive, yet worth it. Atmosphere inside is most enjoyable. Definitely book. and if the weather is right, definitly book outsid in the courtyard
