“French charm”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely B@B and both my husband and I were very impressed. There are only 4 double rooms which makes this lovely accommodation nice and quiet and exclusive. Our room was quite large - Kingsize bed, ensuite with all the amenities - perfect! Pierre is a fantastic host, very friendly and ensures that you enjoy your stay. Breakfast consists of the best croissants I have ever tasted, along with fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, chocolate croissants and French bread. Freshly squeezed orange juice and tea (in a teapot - none of this tea bag stuff) and of course delicious coffee. Enough to set you up for the day. Location is perfect. We arrived into Montpellier by train from Barcelona - at the front of the Station you can catch the L3 Tram, which conveniently drops you off almost at the end of the street of this B&B. Also only a 10 minute walk through the most beautiful gardens, monuments and buildings into the centre of town - so the location could not be more perfect! We really enjoyed our stay - top marks to this fantastic B&B.

I stayed here for one night for the European rugby semi final. The room is comfortable, the breakfast was simple but delicious. It is very close to the centre in a quiet neighbourhood and only 2 mins walk to the tram. Not was too much for Pierre in arranging for an early check in and early check out. I will be back, will bring my wife and stay longer.

My wife and I visited the Les 4 Etoliles in April of this year. Coupled with the glorious weather we experienced when we were there, we found ourselves in a place to stay better than many a boutique hotel we have stayed in before. Les 4 Etoiles is immaculate! We stayed in the Naos room, which had it's own balcony and was beautifully decorated throughout. The communal kitchen and lounge area were just of the highest standard also and had all the facilities you could wish for, with breakfast provided in an ample fashion each day!

Les 4 Etolies is situated in beautiful area of Montepellier, close to the city centre and accessible from the city tram very easily. Walking to to the city centre however, only takes less than 20 minutes from Les 4 Etoiles, from which you pass through lovely markets and parks before you reach there.

Pierre, the owner, is a truly gracious host. His help and assistance, with places to visit and eat, was greatly appreciated and added to wonderful holiday.

I would recommend Montpellier as a place to visit with no hesitation, it's a wonderful, romantic, beautiful city! I can not speak highly enough of Les 4 Etoiles also. An absolutely brilliant place to stay! If you visit Montpellier, Les 4 Etoiles is a must!

We ended up at Pierres place due to a horrible experience in a close by tourist area. Whilst looking for something a bit quieter we came upon Les 4 Etoiles due to recommendations from Trip Advisor. All the reviews are accurate Pierre was a fantastic host pointing out an excellent restaurant even on a Sunday evening when everything was closed. The room was spotlessly clean and very well appointed . He even had no problem getting up early to prepare fresh coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants and fruit salad for us at 7am. We would highly recommend this establishment to anyone.

Lovely place. Pierre is very charming and the rooms and communal areas are delightfully designed and thoughtfully equipped. The four bedrooms are on the first floor and share a kitchen, dining and lounge area together with a charming outside patio. Beautifully presented breakfast with excellent croissants etc. We will certainly be back.

I reserved a room for nearly a week at Les 4 Etoiles based on the excellent recommendations on TripAdvisor. The guest quarters and breakfast area are on the second floor. Privacy and a separation from the owner’s personal life are assured. At the same time, Pierre is an upbeat and available host and one can tell he loves his career choice.

A breakfast of bread and pastries along with fresh juices, butter, jams and fruit salad are laid out every morning on a nicely set table. Residents learn how to make coffee and tea and receive a brief tour of the galley kitchen after arrival. One is encouraged to make full use of the kitchen and tea and coffee preparation is available at all times

The house itself was built by the host’s grandparents and sits back from the street with a small front garden (perhaps not available to guests) that includes full grown trees and a couple of small pools. Both of my rooms looked out upon palm trees and deciduous plants.

I appreciated every aspect of this B&B Inn from the many friendly interactions with Pierre to the textured towels that seemed to have been dried in the out-of-doors. I moved from a room with a bath (wonderful) to a room with a shower (great) during my visit. Both rooms were serene in their decor, very roomy, had excellent storage, and beautiful shuttered windows that gave access to small balconies.

This inn is close to the efficient and appealing tramway system in Montpellier, and in the opposite direction a mere three blocks to the beginning of the historic town center. It is convenient to shops, bakeries, restaurants (and Pierre has a great set of recommendations), parks and gardens.

There is not a single element having to do with Les 4 Etoiles that would give me a second’s hesitation in declaring it outstanding.

We only stayed one evening, but Montpellier is a charming French city that has random streets which change names and direction without notice. It also had a fantastic restaurant, but that is a different review.

Pierre took us in and had a map of sites and restaurants prepared for us as soon as we arrived. He spoke very good English too. His rooms were wonderful with ours having a B+B Italia bed. These guys certainly invested in their furniture and the decor. The projection clock, modern appliances, rain showers, the floors and the toiletries were all special touches as well.

The breakfasts were a croissant and coffee lover's paradise and the breads and fruits also morning fresh.

Definitely would recommend!
