“Perfect Location in one of the most villages in the South of France”
Reviewed August 1, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

My husband and I spent a week at Chateau de la Rocasse last week. We had visited Collioure many times for day trips and really wanted to stay in this beautiful village. The property is perfectly located with a beach to the right and to the left of the house. The apartment is located in a beautiful old French building, yet with all the modern comforts needed for a holiday stay. We ate lunch on the beach - and plastic wine glasses were even provided by the hosts. Kim Gervais was wonderful for keeping in touch from the start to finish of our holiday. We will certainly stay here again, when next in Collioure.

“Fantastic place in a fantastic town”
Reviewed June 29, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

I can recomend this place to everyone who wants to stay in Collioure. The host was very helpful, and gave us very good information about everything. The apartment had everything we needed and the charm of the place was wonderful.

“Great Apartment with a Fantastic Location”
Reviewed October 12, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week at the end of May while travelling throughout the south of France. The apartment is located in an older building so it has tons of charm and interesting details (shuttered windows and a beautiful old entrance door), but still offers all of the modern amenities that you would want (dishwasher, washing machine, good wifi). When we arrived we were greeted with a sample bottle of Banyuls, a package with lots of information on nearby attractions, maps, and restaurant suggestions; and a hand written card from the owners, Denis and Kim; a very nice addition. Denis and Kim were great hosts, very attentive, quickly responding to any questions we had.

The apartment has a fully stocked kitchen, so you can choose to stay in and cook meals with all the amazing produce, meats, seafood, olives, and cheeses from the local market which is just a short walk away and takes place on Wednesdays and Sundays. There is even a cute picnic basket and plastic wine glasses to take with you to one of Collioure's many beaches, one which is literally steps from the front door! There are also towels, chairs and umbrellas to make your day lounging at the beach even more enjoyable. Being so close to the water was incredible. We were able to wake up in the morning, open the shutters and the windows and let the sunlight and sea breezes fill the apartment. It was amazing to lay in bed in the mornings, with an espresso and croissant from one of the local patisseries, and listen to the waves of the Mediterranean break against the rocks, as the sunlight filtered in through the sheer curtains.

The apartment could not have a better location! It is located right in the old town, with narrow pedestrian only cobblestone streets lined with beautiful colourful old buildings. This did mean you could not drive up to the apartment (there were a few times vehicles were permitted each day, though we just chose to walk to the parking lot, about 5 minutes away). The apartment is surrounded with fantastic restaurants, cute shops and art galleries, beaches, and patios. Just leave the apartment, which has a private entrance, and walk in any direction, and you'll be fine.
