“Limited but good quality choice.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

I recently enjoyed a great meal here as part of my stay in Collioure. There was only really choice between two options for the starter and main courses but the main course of Beef Kefta with rice and salad was absolutely delicious with a very generous portion size and so add up for the limited choice!

“Great meal, good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

We had a very good meal here - salads to start and chicken and pork for mains. All were tasty and fresh and the service was friendly, pleasant and quick. The wine was very good too. Would recommend and use again. We were offered a dessert on the house but just couldn't manage another course - a very welcome and unusual offer!

“Delight”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

We went to collioure for the evening and looked on tripadvisor for a recommendation. Having read the reviews of l'arbre du voyageur we were intrigued by the range of the menu and it's apparent unpredictability! It's in a small group of restaurants on ave Charles de Gaulle and when we arrived, it was the only restaurant that wasn't open, but having looked at the menu there and at the surrounding restaurants, we decided to wait, and what a good decision that was! The range of main course options was relatively small, but the aromas were alluring. We tried a spicy mince dish from South Africa, a Jamaican chicken, caramel pork and a curried prawn dish, all of which were excellent, together with a couple of bottles of local red, which was also first class. It was a Saturday night and despite the restaurant opening after the others, it was soon totally full of customers and extremely lively. All together a very enjoyable evening, so many thanks to all those reviewers!

“An outstanding dining experience!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

Dining at this restaurant is like traveling around the world, from Thailand to Africa to Collioure, your palate is treated to many spices and the aromas coming from the kitchen are varied and wonderful. Chef Michel and his assistant will help you with menu selection and wines. This team works so well together and you feel instantly like you are eating at their home and watching a great chef at work. The food is prepared fresh and one never knows what the menu will be for the night. This is a unique restaurant, the food, music and people will have you coming back for more ! The menu on the chalk board can be explained in English in great detail. Thank you for a fun and memorable evening.

“off beat fabulous restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

Amazingly fresh sensations, you my have to wait for your meal, but, it is totally worth it ... everything prepared from scratch. An oriental feel, from a couple who clearly have pride in what they do. A little bohemian and often not open until after 8pm, has an arty feel. Wonderful.
