“Enjoyable meal served by friendly and attentive staff”
Reviewed July 30, 2011

We had two separate meals at this restaurant. The family, 5 in total, had a mix of set menu and A'la Carte. There was a good selection to chose from so going a second time allowed us to try a variety of seafood. Everyone enjoyed the meals and found the staff friendly. They allowed us to make mistakes with the language and joked with us through the meal. On the second occasion a diner dropped a bottle of wine which shattered and cut my leg. The waitress was very quickly on the scene to patch me up and appologised for the mess, which was more than the diner did.
We ended each evening of our stay by having a night cap at the restuarant, overlooking the bay. We noted that by the end of our stay the restuarant was getting busier and the staff getting more stretched.

“A nice spot to sit; pleasant food”
Reviewed September 29, 2010

There are a number of restaurants along this boulevard looking out onto the wonderful beach view bordered by ancient forts. I barely remember what we had, and the invoice does not help. I do remember that the food was pleasant (but obviously not memorable one way or the other) and the location great. Service was fine. You're really paying for the view and you can do that by buying a drink (yes they are expensive relatively) and eating somewhere better in Collioure.

“Worst food experience”
Reviewed July 18, 2010

We are from the industry so we believe that this gives us some credential to write the following.

We started with a gratinated sea food platter and steamed mussels. The platter came with a few unidentified "sea shells" still swimming in a sauce that appeared to be "thousand island". The sauce was supposed to be made from Banyuls, a local wine...but this one must have turned to vinegear! Then the mussels, supposed to be in a garlic cream and white wine sauce turned out to be in a "water tasting" sauce! This latter dish compared to the previous one was edible, though tasteless and outrageously overpriced for frozen produce claimed to be fresh!

Moving on to the main course...pan fried calamari with parseley and garlic and a grilled entrecote. The calamari was as delicate as the sole of my newly bought spanish beach shoes! (chewy and tasteless). The entrecote could not be tougher, even with a steak knife, it was a challenge, I could have sliced through the platic table in a more easy manner than the meat!

The location is amazing and the waitstaff tried to overcome these inconvienences whenever we mentionned them, however, the whole meal experience was ruined already. It is the first time we are complaining in and about a restaurant, this is absolutely the worst place that we have ever been to! JUST WALK AWAY FROM IT!
