“In a host of tourist traps this bucks the trend”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

It does fresh fish - we had the fish - lobster, king prawns, mussels, octopus and a good helping of green beans and mange tout with olive oil mash 29 euro's if my memory serves me right and it was just right. We sat outside looking out through the arch to the sea and drank crisp white wine and ate our seafood mainly with our hands, dipping it into the think home made aioli and mopping the juices with bread that was crisp on the outside chewy on the inside, heavenly. I have been here before about three years ago and it has not changed I am glad to say. My sister liked it so much she went back three times.

“Our Favourite Restaurant in Collioure”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Casa Leon is our favourite restaurant in Collioure! We brought two friends there yesterday for a wonderful lunch that totalled a very reasonable 103 Euro including a bottle of the crisp local white wine. Three of us had the menu of the day which was a very fishy fish soup. The main courses were a medley of sea food including langoustines, calamar, mussels, and scallops - all very fresh and delicious. We spent a full 8 hour day on a stroll and walkabout around this hilly and magical seaside town that is filled with narrow winding streets and artists galleries! A wonderful restaurant in a wonderful village - very highly recommended.

“A pleasant meal”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

We had lunch here on a sunny spring day, choosing it because all the other restaurants we had on our shortlist were closed for the summer. Small and quite crowded, but the staff coped with the crowd in a friendly and efficient way. The food was good, attractively presented, nice fresh fish. My only criticisms were that if you pay for fillet of sea bass in a restaurant, you expect someone in the kitchen to do their job and remove *all* the pin bones -- not the case with mine :( Also, everything was seriously undersalted, and I'm not someone who likes lot of salt on their food. Of course that can be corrected at the table. I'd happily eat there again.

“Excellent sea food”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

We had a dinner of excellent seafood. I especially liked my first course: fresh anchovies, piquillo peppers and arugula salad. SO simple and SO good. Fresh seafood entree (bream) was also very good. Probably a zoo at high season, but in October it was lovely.

“Very good seafood restaurant”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Our hotel recommended to come here for a good fresh seafood and we were not disappointed by a bit! Sea bass and dish of the day (langust+ other seafood) were excellent. Service was friendly and atmosphere very pleasant. Stuff were able to help us with the menu translation and knows seafood platters in English (which is very important even if you speak french, but don't know various seafood names).
