This restaurant well deserves its Michelin star, it is fine dinning in all senses of the word. We went for the €66 menu, but there are less expensive alternatives. We had an amusee, starter, fish course, meat , pre dessert & dessert. All the food was beautifully cooked and presented, the service was excellent, the waiters eager to explain every dish and assist with choosing. It was a wonderful experience. The wine list is extensive with a good selection of local wines, with prices to suit all tastes.

Thank Richard I

This is our 7th visit to this hotel since we discovered it in 2000. That first visit I can remember thinking that this is the best dinner I have ever had. 13 years and many countries later the bar has been raised, but after our two dinners here, I have to say that they are still in the top ten! I had the Langoustine starter and the Rouget Barbet (a local fish) the fish dish tasted of the ocean, not fishy, hard to explain. The choices of the accompaniments are creative and executed to perfection. Needless to say the presentation is exquisite. The small details and quality of ingredients you can taste: The bread, the olive oil, Fleur de Sel. I ordered the simple dessert of sorbet. It was outstanding, several flavors whose combination was carefully thought out, not just throw in a dish. Yes this Restaurant is pricey, but worth the splurge for a special occasion. Who it is not for: inexperienced diners, children, picky eaters, anyone who thinks that McDonalds serves anything edible. The staff was wonderful, attentive without hovering. They have an extensive wine list and the Sommelier delightful. I would like to set the record straight on some of the past comments on Trip Adviser that the wait staff was rude. I witnessed that they were quite tolerant of several parties “can this be made without the mushrooms?” “Can this be changed to that?” etc. I give them credit; it seems that these special requests were accommodated by the staff and THE CHEFS! If the weather is not good you may have to sit inside, people complained about the decoratinging the dining room. Yes it is simple, when you have the best view in the world you do not need velvet drapes and antique furniture. I personally cannot read everything on the menu, but I do not worry this is a place where I trust them and it is going to be excellent. Next year I’m going to try the tasting menu where you give the chef “Carte Blanche” to make something special for you, why not? You only live once!

The best of the best here!
Don't believe it that ANY other Collioure would deserve a higher rating!
We had the "menu degustation" and it was worth every cent of the 46 Euros per person!
And the phantastic view over the bay to the world famous clock tower comes as an extra.
Great, great experience!

This place is certainly back on form, and is one of only two restaurants in the Roussillon with a Michelin star. On the evidence of our lunch, it definitely deserves it.
The restaurant has a private terrace/ beach looking out on Collioure so the view is amazing. If it's cold/ raining and you have to eat inside, request a table by the window as those further back dont get the view, and the room itself isnt great.
We were there for lunch and had various menu options, starting at €30, with others at €45, €66 and a tasting menu at €95. We opted for the €66 for this special occasion, and it was outstanding.
Lots of little tasters to start, and a nice choice of breads. Red mullet with potatoes confit in bouillabaisse was outstanding, and chicken with morels was simple, rich and perfectly balanced. Presentation is wonderful, and the cooking is masterful.
Service was great - rather formal as befits the setting, but not stuffy.
Winelist is extensive, with plenty of options outside the region (although almost all French), which is rare around these parts. Prices are not cheap, but there are bargains to be had.
Overall a fine dining experience in classic Michelin star style, with classic French cuisine and a couple of modern twists. Hiighly enjoyable.

Our dinner last Monday at La Balette ranks as one of our best meal experience
The setting was beautiful, the service impeccable, discreet and courteous and most importantly the food exquisite. The presentation was artistry and the savours perfect. This was beautiful food , not pretentious but delicious and satisfying.
Well worth the Michelin star. We have eaten in 3 star Michelin stars not as good as this. We will make special trips back to Collioure to experience this again.
