This place is certainly back on form, and is one of only two restaurants in the Roussillon with a Michelin star. On the evidence of our lunch, it definitely deserves it.
The restaurant has a private terrace/ beach looking out on Collioure so the view is amazing. If it's cold/ raining and you have to eat inside, request a table by the window as those further back dont get the view, and the room itself isnt great.
We were there for lunch and had various menu options, starting at €30, with others at €45, €66 and a tasting menu at €95. We opted for the €66 for this special occasion, and it was outstanding.
Lots of little tasters to start, and a nice choice of breads. Red mullet with potatoes confit in bouillabaisse was outstanding, and chicken with morels was simple, rich and perfectly balanced. Presentation is wonderful, and the cooking is masterful.
Service was great - rather formal as befits the setting, but not stuffy.
Winelist is extensive, with plenty of options outside the region (although almost all French), which is rare around these parts. Prices are not cheap, but there are bargains to be had.
Overall a fine dining experience in classic Michelin star style, with classic French cuisine and a couple of modern twists. Hiighly enjoyable.
