The property is well-located, handy to the walled city and a short walk across the bridge to the new, but is in need of some attention. The owner lives overseas, and that perhaps explains some of the problems we had.
The property was advertised as 2 bathroom, but this was actually only a separate toilet and shower ; we pointed this out to the owner, and the ad has since been adjusted. The shower itself was also very difficult to use, with the shower head attachment broken and lying on the floor, having to be handheld.
A few other points to note: there are two gas heaters, one up and one downstairs, and the upstairs one did not work at all - I don't consider that to be ' central heating '. Although parking is stated as provided, this is simply finding a space on the street, if you are lucky. And while the owner speaks reasonable English, via emails, the lady who lives next door - with whom we had to deal regarding these issues - while very lovely, spoke not a word, making communication impossible. The property was also the most poorly equipped of anywhere we stayed in France - even basic things, like a kitchen sink plug and bin liners, were not provided.
On a more positive note, the price charged was quite reasonable, and the owner did provide a partial refund, which was an appreciated gesture.
With some attention this place could be really good, but at present I think it suffers from an absent owner and lack of effective management and maintenance.
Well located for the Medieval City & not far to either the 'new' city or the station. Fabulous views. Good bars, bistros & shops nearby. Clean & well maintained. Excellent communications with the owner - very helpful. Ideal base.
