Greeted at Carcasonne Airport by the owner, Inga who was extremely personable. Inga drove as to apartment via a supermarket on route explaining the history of Carcassonne, pointing out interesting places and how to get about.
The apartment had the most 'Spectacular Views' from both the lounge and main bedroom. The lounge and kitchen is open planned and very spacious. A dining area with a large table easily fitting six people at the front of the apartment leading out on to a small veranda. The apartment definitely well equipped as has everything you could possible want.
The location is perfect you can walk to the castle's walls within 5 minutes, there are shops located nearby for your necessities as well as some great restaurants. You really can not go wrong with this rental.

Excellent customer service from the owner, who speaks both French and English. The property is very well appointed and contains very comfortable beds for four and an equally-as-comfortable sofa bed for another two guests. The communal spaces are perfect for bringing your group together - there's a large well-appointed kitchen and the dining room and living room are great for socialising as a group. The property is perfectly situated just below the medieval city to allow for full exploration of the UNESCO world heritage site (and giving you a breathtaking view out the living and master bedroom windows), but also not too far (30 minute round trip by foot) from the supermarkets in the centre of modern Carcassonne, allowing guests to pick up fresh produce each day to prepare for dinner.
The property was great for us (a group of five students from Paris on Spring Break) to chill out in a lazy town and explore what Carcassonne has to offer. The city itself is also a great place to base yourself if you want to explore the south of France - we rented a car and drove around exploring the amazing Cathar castles perched atop impossibly beautiful mountains. You can also rent bicycles in town and cycle along the Canal du Midi - we brought a picnic with us and had a lazy lunch by the canal. There's so much to do in the region for people of all ages.
I would say the property itself would suit both groups of young adults and families alike. It's a perfect combination of an interesting and multi-faceted location as well as property that's perfectly suited to groups that made our stay here one of the most memorable holidays I've had.

We stayed at this apartment in late October and had a fantastic stay. It has plenty of room for 4 (or more if you use the sofa beds) the owner is English and was very helpful and hospitable. The location is very near the medieval Cite, 5 minutes walk from the less busy side (Aude gate). The view from the apartment windows of the Cite walls is stunning. Its very close to some small shops for essentials and a huge choice of reasonably priced restaurants within the Cite walls if you want to eat out.

This is a great apartment - ideal location and superb views. You couldn't wish for a more lovely and helpful owners, Inga & Mick. Right from the first contact, Inga gave us all the information and help you could want. She picked us up from the airport, took us to the supermarket to get our 'supplies' for the long weekend, and delivered us back to the apartment. She also arranged our taxi for our return - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Inga, we appreciate all your help !
The apartment was clean and equiped with everything you could want. Carcassonne is a beautiful place, with lots of history - a weekend is not long enough. I will certainly be back and will not hesitate to recommend the apartment

A comfortable and spacious apartment with stunning views. The kitchen was equipped with all you could possibly need for a week self-catering, everything was modern and spotlessly clean. A king size bed and plenty of storage space in the master bedroom and views of the castle through the shuttered windows. A powerful shower in the bathroom made getting up in the morning a pleasure.
Every detail has been covered :- wi-fi, UK-tv, washer drier and hi-fi.
We have no reservations in recommending the Cezanne apartment and we will hopefully return soon.

We visited Carcassonne in August 2013. It was our first visit to Carcassonne and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. Carcassonne is a fascinating place to visit and is steeped in history ,the old buildings and narrow streets of the old city only add to the charm of the place. The apartment was excellent, spotlessly clean and lovely and spacious, the kitchen is well equipped and having Wifi was a great plus point. The beds are comfy and the views just take you breath away. The Location of the apartment is fantastic only minutes from the old city and there are shops and restaurants near by. The owners Inga and Mick are lovely people, really helpful and very accommodating. All in all we had the most wonderful holiday the apartment Cezanne is a gem and i wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. We most certainly will be back!
