At first sight the restaurant did not look promising as it was deserted and the interior was very dusty with cobwebs and resident daddy long legs. It was run by a friendly and helpful husband and wife team and between our French and their English we managed to order a spectacular meal. We had one of the best meals that we have had for ages and we really enjoyed the local red wine that they recommended. I had a smoked duck salad, followed by duck breast with pepper sauce and apple tart for dessert. My husband started with a charcuterie plate, followed by steak with pepper sauce and finished with a cheese plate. The food was simple, but tasty and cooked to perfection. It was also really great value as our bill came to €38.50. We’re going back there tomorrow to try their version of the local dish of cassoulet!
