What a find!!! We were lucky enough to stay inside the walled city; but far more enjoyable was Igor. He was absolutely delighful. After settling into our room he welcomed us with a wonderful bottle of regional white wine, local olives and organic peanuts...all delicious and eagerly enjoyed after a five and a half hours drive! Ask Igor for recommmendations on everything you need to know...you will not be dissappointed. Breakfast was very generous and also delicious.

You can't imagine a more friendly place to stay than La Maison Dans La Cite. The rooms are each different, all thoughtfully decorated and beautifully maintained in this ancient house inside the walls of this magnificent old city. But much more important than the physical situation is your host, Igor's unbelievably welcoming attitude. He really made us feel at home. He prepared us a wonderful breakfast, which included home-made jams, farm fresh eggs, local cheeses and meats, ... He introduced us to fellow Caracassonians (?) who were all equally friendly.

You couldn't find a better place for any price.

A wonderful boutique-style, intimate place to stay in the heart of the medieval city... a peaceful sanctuary from the crowds outside and a perfect opportunity to be able to experience the area in the evening once the majority of the people have exited. The room are all individually furnished with great attention to detail. Breakfast was ample and a wonderful change from the usual boring hotel breakfast. Igor is the perfect host.... friendly, personable and welcoming.... he makes you feel like you're an invited guest in his home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
