Delightful authentic food from Alsace region.
I had a salad starter with anchovies which came on a large plate. Main course was a flamenkuche with onion, duck and mushrooms. Dessert was creme brulee which was pleasantly lemon flavoured. The host was very friendly and explained the dishes to me. The restaurant was generally quiet for a Thursday evening, service was perfect.

Were it not for Trip Advisor we would have just walked past the rather unassuming doorway of this Restaurant.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was great. The staff were friendly.
We particularly enjoyed the style of food on offer.
Thank heavens for our doing our homework on Trip Advisor.
Had we been staying closer I guess that we would have dined here a second time.

This place was visible from the window of our little holiday flat.

I think it says it all when I mention this us our second visit in two days.

Won't be surprised if we find ourselves here again before we leave!

The choucroute is superb.

The snails were superb.

The Pinot Noir Alsacienne was superb.

And. Best of all. The staff are friendly. Attentive. And smiley.

For me it's a must visit when in Carcassonne.

We were in Carcassonne for a few days and saw the reviews of this restaurant on TA. We are fans sof the Alsace food and wines so decided to book and give it a try. It was the night of the England game and so we found ourselves to be only guests which was a shame but nonetheless we loved it. We had great salad starters very fresh and one Zander Fish and one Duck. Both were rated fantastic and I managed a dessert of creme brulee. We had half bottles of Pinot Blanc and Gewurtztraminer and they were really good. The owner was a delight to speak to and we had a wonderful evening. If you like Alsace food and sauerkraut and their wines this is a must do place. The Zander fish was rated by my other half as one of the best fish dishes ever. Thanks to the owners for a lovely but quiet night.

Like the other reviewers said this was open on a Sunday night when other places weren't. It was really busy and we ended up on a table outside, and even though we waited a little while for food we were never forgotten. The portions are pretty large but we still managed to eat three course set menus. The vegetarian menu was fine - the White Alsace pizzas were definitely different, and the apricot tarte was lish. Would recommend for value, service and the veggie food.
