Had a nice meal and general nice evening at La Comedie. Food was good and the Plat du Jour menu looked really good value. Very busy on the night we were there (Tuesday) but service was fine

Located on the edge of the new town, the restaurant took a bit of finding but was well worth the effort. It is very popular, particularly with French people on a Saturday evening and that gave it a lively atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The menu has a large number of pizzas and pastas but we had been recommended to choose from the daily specials board. Both the cod with rice and boeuf en daube were excellent and very reasonably priced. Deserts were also good. The house wine was available in carafes at 6 euros per half litre and both the red and rose were very drinkable. All in all, an enjoyable experience and good value.

We were referred to La Divine Comedie by the manager of Cafe de la Comedie, which was closed for the evening due to a special event. Our dinner at La Divine Comedie was adequate, but that's all. The cafe was very busy, and at times service was slow. I ordered a carafe of water, which was delivered promptly, but without a glass. We gave up waiting for someone to take our dessert order. Our bill for two mains, with a half-litre of wine, was 43 euros. As another reviewer noted, there were a lot of locals eating at La Divine Comedie, and I would eat there again--perhaps lunch--because really good options in Carcassonne are surprisingly few at the moment (winter) We have been here for three weeks and not found any of Carcassonne's highly rated restaurants open, which is disappointing. Le Pottage, for example, is on our street, but has been shut tight this month, with no sign on the door indicating when it will reopen.

Ate here on our last night in Carcassonne. Had a most delicious cassoulet with pork sausage and duck with white beans and had the profiteroles as dessert. Service was excellent, food wonderful.
