“Disappointing”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

We wanted to like Le Dit Vin: it was our last evening in France after 2 weeks in the Luberon and on the south coast, and we had chosen with care. The restaurant is very attractive, and has a lovely courtyard, stylishly lit at night. But service was rushed and perfunctory although the restaurant was not busy, and the food was a mixture of odd, and just not up to a 30 euro menu. Pan-fried foie gras was swimming in oil, an entrecote de taureau came dressed with no more than a few salad leaves and some frites (acceptable in a bistro but I expected more imagination here); a so-so tiramisu was accompanied by a completely inappropriate and not very mango-flavoured mango cream. We had wine by the glass, as we were eating very different things, and found it expensive. Would not go back: there are so many other restaurants to choose from in lovely Aigues Mortes.

“Excellent food, service and Atmosphere”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

We ate here several times whilst in Aigues Mortes. The food was excellent and the service too. The owner and staff were wonderful with out 6 year old. When she had eaten, they sat her on a high stool and let her draw pictures of the photos around the restaurant. They were great. Even without this special attention to our family, the food and services were second to none.

“surprisingly good food, modern bar and cozy courtyard”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

went there for lunch recommended by a nearby clothing store and surprise, excellent food. the fish soup was the best I had in France so far and I have tried a few. we shared some dishes, and the veal kidneys were delicious as well. Everything coming out of the kitchen and served around us looking so lovely presented...a feast for the eye. However!...it took quite a while for us to even get a bottle of wine. But no wonder, there was only one seriously hard working waiter who tried his very best to serve about 12 tables. no offense to him he was polite and trying very hard but the owner should observe and hire a help for lunchtime, definitely. we stayed for 3 hours because it was so lovely and the wine was great as well. can imagine a nice evening as well. an oasis from all the people in the streets. ....another very good thing: one of the few places with very cold white wine in ice buckets - rare in this part of France!
