Hardly even needs another review because it already has so many excellent ones already. Stopped here for lunch and it was all heavenly. Great starter, beautifully cooked salmon main and my husband had the most amazing melt in the mouth duck I’ve ever tasted, and then a little tasing plate of coconut cake and framboise chocolate mousse.
Amazing value in an expensive but lovely town. I’d drive the 90 minutes from home again just to eat here!

We were traveling and stopped in Aigues-Mortes for lunch...were running late...stumbled upon this charming restaurant off the main square. Arrived at 1:45, the waiter hesitated for a brief second and accepted us without a reservation. One of the things missing in our love of French food is the lack of spices used. Aromatik knows how to use spices to flavor food. It's used subtley and also adds to the flavors of the ingredients. (a lot of people think that spices mean that the food will be spicy, which isn't the case if it is done properly). The menu was correct and fair at 22 euros. My starter was an emulsion of lentilles w smoked merlu and palourdes, husband had chicken tempura. Both were beautiful and tasty. I then had brochette of beef marinated in tandoori, cooked perfectly and he had lieu noir (hake) roasted w a crustachean bisque. Both were so pretty served with polenta, root vegetables and spices. My description doesn't do it justice, the tastes were great and worked well together. We had a nice rose from the Camargue and a little chocolate cake w coffee. The waiter and the female Chef we saw were very nice, a totally great find! We totally recommend Aromatik!

The restaurants in Aigues Mortes are dominated by those who are offering more or less the same dishes. Fish or meat accompanied by some French fries. This can be very good (and is in fact not too bad here and there) but is extremely boring especially if you spend more than 3 days in the region. The “Aromatique” is quite the opposite. A very positive one! Innovative, well balanced dishes are true delicacies. The menu is relatively small but this is not a handicap, it’s even more a proof for freshness. Last but not least I have to highlight the super friendly service (in fluent English) provided by Laura and her team. This excellent restaurant is highly recommended.
