Hot Sunday in September and a full restaurant. We ordered from the blackboard menu and expected a lengthy wait due to the full house. Staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient and were even running to get the orders back to the kitchen. Food was typically French - fresh and fantastic. Bubbles were chilled and beer was icy. Dessert and coffee were moreish and the whole experience was very pleasant. Mostly local people dining, not a tourist trap. The female waitress provided excellent service and spoke good English. She trained at a Stamford Hotel in England and we were pleased we didn't need to struggle with our little bit of French language.
