Having already tried eating out in style in Aigues Mortes and paying 100 euro in 2 restaurants for mediocre meals, I went to Chez Cedric for a large take-away pizza and a portion of frites - enough for two of us to share with a decent bottle of local wine.
The pizza was prepared in front of me by hardworking staff who spend their night in front of an impossibly hot wood burning open oven. The restaurant has both sit-in and take away services. We had a large vegetarian pizza and it was perfect - by far the best meal we had in France. Total cost with the frites was 12.50 euro, making Chez Cedric the best value restaurant we have been to for years. Places like this deserve to succeed. There is a basic, no nonsense honesty about the whole place and all the staff and incredible value for money. Just perfect!
