Very vriendly people that run this restaurant. High quality food with superb presentation.

We ordered an entree, main course and dessert.
Pricy but worth it!

Make a reservation to be sure.

On arrival no one was at the front desk, we went upstairs where there was a man, not a proper waiter, alone in a drearily decorated room with half a dozen tables and no ambience whatsoever, 3 of the tables were occupied by diners we had a really bad feeling but having booked on line felt we should stay. 15 minutes later, the sole ‘waiter ‘ having paid us no attention whatsoever saw that we were about to leave and came over with menus. We ordered Angus steak and lamb en croute, the lamb was not particularly well executed but the steak was a disgrace ,a large slab of untrimmed meat without garnish slapped on a plate, the presentation was appalling and the cost was 37 Euros, accompanied by chips this was worse than you might get in a rather poor pub. We complained, the explanation that ‘steak was expensive’ neither explained or excused, we had eaten lunch at the superb Bistro at number 11 where I had had wonderful and beautifully presented Angus steak at a far lower price. We decided to leave without dessert the total bill was an outrageous 80 Euro’s by far the most expensive meal we had, the only really poor experience, on our trip frankly it was a rip off. Give this restaurant a wide birth if you value your purse.

We read some good reviews and thought we would give it a go. On arrival I had a bad feeling. There was no one to greet us - instead we had to go upstairs to find a waiter. Whilst we were then seated it took a good 10 minutes before we were given any attention and asked for our order or even offered a drink. We were on the point of leaving. Just in time the waiter came and took our order returning with a delicious amusee bouche. Feeling somewhat mollified we awaited our food. We ordered 2 mains intending to have a pudding. The mains were underwhelming in particular my Angus beef which was literally a slab of steak on a plate, no garnish and some fries as a side order. Total damage for this main alone 37 euros. This felt pricey to start with but once served, v insulting. We did not stay for coffee or dessert and came out having spent 80 euros for a very average meal. It also claimed on here that we would get a reduction for booking online which we did not get. We would not return - there are plenty of other options so don’t waste your money here.

So perfect! The food was divine. Not a thing to critique. Excellent wines. English was not a problem. Steak, fois gras and lamb were all top notch. Definitely go!

Our group of 10 diners was superbly hosted here a few days ago. Our meals were all delivered together, the servers were not fazed by the size of our group at all, even though this is quite a small, intimate restaurant. There are two floors.

Food was perfectly cooked, with excellent flavours, and very nicely presented. I chose the fish (perch) for my main, and found the skin browned to perfection and the meat tender, flaky and moist. Desert was delicious as well.

A great choice in Versailles.
