We loved this visit to Marie Antoinette's little hideaway! The little pretend medieval village is still immaculate! It looks like a Disney version or a village. The grounds are also darling with the gardens and water features. The actual buildings are somewhat less impressive after coming from Versailles, but still worth a peek. Note: they don't open until noon, so pace yourself. Also, their is a Phebus bus that can take you directly from the base of the Grand Trianon drive to the train station, to save you the walk, for only a metro ticket.

The 'show farm' was so cute. Huge ugly boars, cute rabbits, disgustingly huge ugly carp but so so interesting. Loved the lighthouse too.

But if you want to see the Triamons, mini palaces, there is a charge. Each has a manageable amount of rooms. To get there you can walk, which is pleasant if you have the right shoes, about 20 mins. Slightly down hill, or take the mini train which is one way, either up or down. We took it back. We'll worth it. After seeing the gardens. Fountains are on only on Sunday afternoon. Check Web on that because I think also on holidays.

Nice walk and splendid garden. You can take the train if you are tired. Kids enjoyed collecting wild flowers in the woods. The king did not have a king size bed :)
