We stayed here in July and they catered for a large group very well. I personally didn't eat here but had a few beers, which were very expensive. As a group we ate together downstairs and it was rather chaotic but all told a good stay. The room was very spacious and clean.

The staff on reception were very helpful and this criticism is not aimed at them!1. The car park was inaccessible to cars over 1.9m so we had to park in a public car park about 5 mins walk away and could have moved it to the street for free parking from 19:00 – 07:00 but that would have meant that we would have had to get up early to move the car. We left the car in the public car park and it cost €27.50 for the time we were there (about 27 hours). The inaccessible hotel car park was only €12/24 hours. This was an unexpected cost and inconvenience. 2. The room was very hot and the AC did not work, maybe because it is November, but the room was far too hot to sleep properly in and it was too noisy to open the window3. There were no tissues in the bathroom and not much toilet paper 4. There were limited places to hang towels to dry in the bathroom5. There was no handle to open the refrigerator – is was under a shelf and very hard to open6. There were only 3 coat hangers and none of them had a rail to hang trousers over (we needed to hang a suit up) and although we asked for a hanger and were told that they would put one in the room, it never arrived. Certainly would not stay there again even though it was very central

Stayed in many a mercure before and this was not good. More akin to an ibis budget at high price for what it was. Rooms small and dark, safe not working, light by bed not working, presume bulb so simple to sort out( reported on arrival, again following morning and still not rectified after 2 nights!). Tiny fridge in floor so had to get on hands and knees to get into it. Limited bathroom accessories, no shower cap etc only small bar of soap and brittle plastic glasses. No bar and couldn’t even provide ice. Luckily booked small car park space as essential, would have had to go some distance otherwise to park. Only plus points were staff who were v helpful and spoke English and proximity of plenty of good cafes and restaurants neRby. Have stayed in many better hotels in Versailles at similar cost and would not return there

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel, and as before the staff are some of the nicest and most helpful we've encountered over many years of travel.I asked by e-mail before we arrived if they could reserve a space in the private garage, had a speedy reply to check the size of car as space is limited, and booked my space ready. When we arrived we were welcomed with a smile and handed over the key without fuss. They were also helpful with information on nearby restaurants and directs to places we wanted to visit. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with a good selection of fresh food at breakfast.Overall, a great experience and we'll definitely be back.

After a terrible journey we were really hoping for a decent Hotel. We had trouble finding the hotel as it was in a side street. In its favour was that it was within walking distance of the Palace. The first room we were given was small as was obviously meant for a single person was there was only a single wardrobe and not a lot of room to move. After an uncomfortable night due to the air conditioning not working we were given another room slightly bigger and with air con. There was not one drawer in either room which I found strange. Most hotels have some drawer space. We had to move everything ourselves as we did when we arrived. No porters.
The Breakfast which was Charged at 15 euros each was a disaster. Soggy scrambled egg sausages smaller than a chipolatas which tasted like no other sausage I have ever eaten and the bacon was more fat than meat. The fruit was stale and bitter. Not much choice of cereal, no cornflakes. The only decent thing was the coffee. Needless to say we only had the breakfast one day and went out the rest of the time.
Although the room provided a kettle and tea and coffee. the paper cups provided I thought were dangerous as when filled with hot liquid they bent and squashed in and hot liquid could easily have been spilt over ones hand.
The television in the room only showed French programmes only not one English speaking channel even a news one. We have travelled to a lot of different countries and always managed to least get a news channel in English or American.
A cooler fridge was installed on our last day there! This stay was during the very hot temperatures in Europe.
The only GOOD THING about this hotel was the staff who were very helpful and polite.
We had stayed at a Mercure Hotel In Perth Australia and that was one reason why we choose another Mercure . However there was no comparison.
.

Room tip: Not sure there are any
