Stayed in the apartment (suite plus conecting double) for four nights with husband and mother in law. Suited us well. Hotel is modern in design, comfortable and although not spacious has everything you need. I liked the outside staircase through the courtyard to the suite but it was super weather!

Parking is a problem, particularly for dropping bags. There is a pay and display carpark just across the road which we used to pick up but like all parking in Versailles you would be lucky to get a spot later in the day. The underground carpark does exist now, follow Cathedrale Parking. It is very clean (even has toilets!) and for longstay parking is comparable on price with the open air chateau parking 10 mins away.

Overall this is a very convienient place to stay in easy walking distance of the chateau and local restaurants. If you want something different try the Lebannese restaurant in the rue de satory. I would stay here again.

I recommend that you go to Versailles by train. Arriving by car presented immediate problems - there is never anywhere to stop in Versailles, ( French motorists will use two cars to fill three places), so even unloading the bags was difficult. No one rushed to help us, until I refused, with a bad back, to lift my bags up an outside staircase in the courtyard to the 'Suite'. If you are fit this is a charming set of low-ceilinged rooms, but entirely unsuitable for elderly or physically challenged, as the stairs are the only access and it could be raining. The hotel website states that there is an underground carpark in close proximity. This has been condemned and no longer exists, which I feel is misleading. It is a wearing process trying to drive round to find a space, although there are some parking areas in nearby squares, and you may be lucky. Rather than have to watch the meters every two hours, park all day at the Chateau, and then you only pay on leaving.

This hotel is well situated in Versailles. It is a walkable (with bags) distance from the station and an easy walk to the chateau. Easy to locate there is a street of restaurants nearby (rue Satori). The Reception staff spoke English. The bar, billiards room and breakfast areas were attractive. The hotel stored our luggage in a secure room for us on the following morning while we toured the chateau.

We were rather disappointed that our room bore little resemblance to the rooms featured on the web site and described as 'noble, sophisticated and personalised'. Our ‘Classic Double Room’ – 125e) was in a very quiet location with the window overlooked the patio roof of the inner courtyard. There was no air conditioning but we felt quite secure leaving our window open all night. The room was small, clean and functional. The bathroom was very small (one person only). The hotel served it purpose of locating us very close to the chateau so we could be 'first off the block' the next morning - great too, we had the Hall of Mirrors to ourselves (albeit briefly)!

The local tourist office in Versailles was excellent. We were given excellent advice on the chateau (times open, what not to miss, map of grounds, hours the fountains were playing, etc) and we purchased our entrance and audio guide tickets from them thus avoiding queuing.

Nice hotel, good location. Only a few minutes walk to the palace and old section of the city. Staff was courteous and the breakfast buffet a nice mix of cereals, dried fruit, yogurt, bread, coffee etc. Room was a bit small, but then, it was fine by European standards and comfortable enough.
