I’m somewhat disappointed with this hotel. It’s exterior and local are fine. It’s bar, billiards, reception and breakfast room were pleasant if a little dated.
But the disappointing thing was the standard of rooms. Initially we were taken to a classic room which was tiny and shabby, awfully decorated, and a grubby looking room. We upgraded and whilst the room was slightly bigger, and slightly better decorated, it cost almost as much as an excellent too we’d just come from in then popular Louvre district of Paris.

The breakfast was poor value so on day two we walked up the road to MacDonalds of all places.

Coffee facilities I the room had very little milk. There was a lack of accessible mirrors in the room leaving plugging in hair straigteners to do my hair was tricky.

But even more disappointing was after spending a large part of the day out we returnedT 3:30pm to an unmade room. This inconvenienced us as we had to request it was done and then vacate our room whilst it was done, leaving us unable to relax when we needed it most. Reception dealt with the issue but they didn’t acknowledge our disappointment - an apology would have been nice.

Overall I’m not impressed. I wouldn’t recommend it and I won’t be returning.

Everything about our stay at this hotel was perfect. Our flight to France was delayed on the day of departure so I emailed the reception to confirm we would be able to get access as late as 10pm and they responded promptly to inform us reception was 24hr and not to worry - just what we needed when we were stuck at the airport rearranging our plans. We caught the RER C to Versailles and the hotel was around a 5 minute walk from the station. Versailles at night mid-week is very calm and quiet, but the location of this hotel was even more peaceful despite there being bars and resterants a few steps away. On approach the hotel looks warm and inviting and all of the reception staff we dealt with were extremely pleasant, from check in which came with a warm welcome, to check out when a woman who I believe might have been the owner was friendly, chatty and helpful, providing us with a map of Paris which was our next stop. On check in we gathered out key and headed up to our room which was 109. The room was cosy with lovely decorations and a modern en-suite including an impressively powerful shower. We headed out to our local shop (you have to leave your key at reception when you are out and about but this seems to be the norm in the Paris region) and returned to have some drinks in the hotel bar which is quite simply delightful. The young man who was manning reception was very attentive whilst serving us in the bar, and especially sympathetic of my poor french so thank you for your patience! Whilst sat downstairs one of the things we noticed is that the hotel is absolutely impeccably clean - without a doubt the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in, yet still cosy with personality. There is a lovely little garden in the back for smokers or those who wish to sit outside in the summer months. I slept extremely well the two nights we stayed. The Palace of Versilles was our reason for visiting, which was a short walk away. There are some great places to eat and bars in Versailles, so you could easily make a few days trip visiting the town, and if you do I would highly recommend this delightful hotel. I would imagine we will visit Versailles once again in years to come, and when we do we will undoubtedly stay at this wonderful hotel. Thanks for a great trip!

We stayed here for 4 nights, over Christmas. Great location, with welcoming staff and all over a very warm atmosphere in this hotel. Breakfast was decent, and there is a nice courtyard just next to the breakfast room, and I wanted to try having a wintry breakfast, unfortunately, I was down with the flu and had to stay indoors.

The staff here were all very nice, and even the front desk reception staff was super friendly. They always had a smile for everyone, and were very helpful with any questions that you may have. Oh, and in case you're worried they may not speak your language, rest assured that the staff are all competent in English.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Versailles - it's so charming, and it is definitely one of those places you fall in love with at first sight. There's just something so unassuming, yet welcoming at the same time, about this hotel that leads to its overall charm.

We stayed at Hotel la Residence du Berry for a few days over Christmas. It was a very welcoming, friendly, small hotel located a short walk from the Chateau, cathedral, and RERs. The rooms were really lovely and simple, with a nice bathroom and incredibly comfortable beds. It is a really lovely old building, with beautiful features, a cosy bar, and breakfast room with a bright courtyard for Summer breakfasts. The hotel was lovely and calm, a nice escape from Paris, but still close to lots of interesting shops and wonderful restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone to have a relaxing trip to Paris/ Versailles.

This hotel was comfortable and lovely. The location in proximity to the Palace of Versailles was so convenient, and we loved walking the town. The concierge was helpful, the room was cozy, clean and comfortable, and the breakfast area and lounge were great for relaxing.
