I stayed at the Hotel la Residence Du Berry on a work trip, mostly as most of the hotels nearby were booked solid. While it is a little bit of a hike from the Versailles Chantiers rail station (the Rive Gauche RER station is much closer for those who have a choice), the hotel is a short stroll to the palace. There are a number of very good restaurants nearby (so there was no need to eat at the hotel), which is a big plus. The room was clean and a decent size, the bed was comfortable, and it was rather quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The internet was free, though it was rather spotty in the room that I was in. For the price, I would consider it again.

We stayed in the Hotel la Residence Du Berry for two nights while visiting the Palace. It is in a great location a 5 minute walk from the Palace and close to many restaurants and the other attractions Versailles has to offer. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were quite big and very clean. There is no air conditioning so if you go in the hotter months you might want to ask at reception for a fan.

Our family of 5 plus a dog were very well looked after in our stay in Versailles. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, providing fans in the heat, keeping a small amount of our perishable food in their refridgerator and very accepting of our dog. The pool table was a fun diversion at the end of the day.

Room Tip: For our family of 5, rooms 101 and 110 open into each other and have a separate entrance onto the garden/restaurant.

Excellent location, very close to the palace and gardens and a short walk from the RER station to Paris. The room were a decent size and the bathroom was good, although the hair-dryer didn't work! Breakfast was a good selection and tasty, but a little bit pricey as our reservation didn't include it, so it might be worth having breakfast outside of the hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, would recommend staying here.

>Very close to Versailles Palace and near lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops
>Five mins walk to train station and parking on street outside Hotel
>Rooms small but comfortable in a boutique style Hotel-No restaurant
>Continental Breakfast that is good-Please get an egg boiler as this would really finish the whole breakfast as a five star.
>Pleasant helpful staff that speak a little English
>Avoid any rooms beside elevator (small hotel so elevator is beside some bedroom entrances)
>Really pretty area of Versailles that makes you feel you are part of the locaility
>Recommended if the price is right

Room Tip: Avoid rooms beside elevator-noisy
