This place is a perfect example of something you stumble across during your European travels where you need to stop, and take in the incredible scenery, and just admire how amazing it is! When I was here I felt like I was in some sort of beautiful countryside side in the middle of France, not just on the outskirts of Paris!

Off the beaten track, the park of Louis the XVIth's sister's estate is an absolute delight. The main building is rarely open to the public but the orangerie holds regular (and free) exhibitions. There's a wonderful collection of beautiful old trees and a beautiful bee garden with bee hives.

Nice little farm where the queen went to play "normal person" when she was bored. Nice pond, good imitation of what the farms looked like back then, yet still with the fancy rich feeling of the queen. Nice walk to get there from the main chateau, but worth going and listening to the story of Why it was built there.
