The property is in a nice location away from the more beaten paths in Versailles but close enough to walk to transportation, restaurants, the palace, etc. We felt the accommodation was a very good value relative to alternatives in the area.

Vanessa is great. The continental breakfast in the morning was very satisfying and the macaroons in the evening were even better. Very friendly, speaks great English, and has a true appreciation for her guests.

Villa Versailles is the type of home you dream about when you think of staying or living in France- so much character, adorable! Vanessa, our host, made our time there even better than the property itself with her welcoming attitude and little homemade baked treats. The fact that parking is inlcuded is so very helpful, especially if you are renting a car and visiting various areas in France as we were. Additionally, however, we were able to easily take the train to Paris to meet with Friends and made it to the Tour Eiffel in about 20 minutes-peace of cake! Speaking of cake- I have to mention that there are many lovely bakeries very close to the property and we were able to avail ourselves of one to enjoy croissant one morning. So, needless to say, we recommend Villa Versailles and Vanessa highly!

If we could add one small quibble, we felt as if the bed was somewhat hard, but not overly so especially compared to other European beds. Finally, if we might suggest two more things to Vanessa- we would suggest putting curtains on the front door window of the Villa and also on the window in the stair well for added privacy and that Vanessa clearly state that breakfast has to be requested and is not just offered without request. This information was listed on-line but we were not aware that this was the case when staying there and had read about the wonderful breakfasts that Vanessa offers and were surprised to not receive this. Now, to also be fair- we were often gone early and came back late, so this may have impacted breakfast, and, Vanessa was kind enough to share her lovely macaroons and we did receive an appetizer one evening and brioche toast and homemade jam one morning, so it was not a complete loss :o)- We wish Vanessa and her business the best and hope you will visit her- you won´t regret it!

Dear T & G
I hope the end of your "very very" busy trip went well in spain and that work was not too hard to start again !
It was a pleasure having you at villa versailles ans I hope you will come back !

Thanks for the various comments that are always very useful for me.
Concerning breakfasts : you had first contacted me through a website, where the prices listed are without breakfast. It is a self catering formula.
Usually, when people are staying more than 2 days, they are mostly preferring this formula.
And really sorry about that, i didn't propose for the b&b formula .
I will be more cautious for future guests.
The bed and breakfast formula is a little bit more expensive. It is not because you did not request it, that you did not have it !!! In my mind, it was clear that you did not want it, and that is why you have chosen the other formula.
Thats is why even if guest choose the self catering formula, i am always happy to bring desserts, appetizers...

Thanks a lot for your comment, and sorry about this misunderstanding
Sincerely
vanessa

We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Versailles. Vanessa is an absolutely delightful hostess, She is very attentive, and eager to be of assistance. We had some difficulty making the on-line deposit, but a phone call to her solved our problems.

The location is very central. Parking is provided on-site, and a car is not needed for your stay. The Chateau is only a 10- to 15-minute walk. The train station is a 10-minute walk, and you can take a train into Paris very easily. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes, and bakeries nearby.

Breakfast is delicious and quite satisfying. Eat outdoors on her patio if the weather is good, or inside if the weather is inclement. Vanessa is a pastry chef and baking classes can be arranged -- we took advantage of one, and really enjoyed it.

Our only concern about the Villa Versailles is, that while it is wonderful for a party of two adults, a third guest must sleep on a sofa-bed. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable, but there just isn't a lot of space for a party of more than two adults.

Vanessa does a wonderful job of maintaining this guest residence adjacent to her home. She brings lovely pastries from a local bakery in the morning as well as some of her own. She is a fantastic pastry chef and has wonderful creations. I took a brief cooking lesson with her, which was fantastic. It really added to my experience in Versailles and gave me something new to bring back home.

I highly recommend Villa Versailles. For me, the most significant features of a temporary home for the traveler is how well it allows one to relax and restore oneself overnight. In this service, Villa Versailles cannot be beat. The neighborhood is very quiet; absolutely silent late at night. The bed is incredibly comfortable. I love a nice hot bath and was not disappointed with the facilities: very modern, clean, the tub is deep and long. The inclusion of basic kitchen facilities expands ones options for evening repast. One can simply stay home after a busy day.
The rates are competitive, the host charming and kind and helpful, the facilities well kept. I very much appreciate this place. Everyday I could proceed with renewed strength. Wonderful.

Dear Paul
Thanks a lot for your comment.
It was a real pleasure having you and "sharing" in a way all the great things you have done in versailles.
What an experience meeting Versailles's famous gardener, Mr Baraton, having a tree for your friend and becoming a versailles's donator...
I hope your last day in paris, went good :)
I hope to have the chance to have you again at Villa Versailles
Take care
Vanessa

I cannot begin to express how wonderful this B&B was. From the moment we arrive till the moment we left we could not have been more pleased. Our hostess Vanessa was absolutely charming and made us feel so very welcomed and at home. The villa is a beautiful two story, living space with dinette and efficiency kitchen downstairs and a spacious bedroom and wonderfully modern bathroom upstairs. The villa not only looked clean but smelled fantastic. We were treated to a great breakfast in the morning. The Villa is in a great location, we walked to Versailles in less than 10 minutes. Our only regret was we were not able to stay longer. Do not pass up an opportunity to stay here !!
